But why no MR seasonal?
I like it.
But yes would be nice if they used all the F1 curcuits of today.
Since when has a racing not been a "catch the rabbit" scenario?

Hell yes Kaz!This is what I've been waiting fora decent seasonal!
Altho' some of the tracks don't make sense for the Ferrari F1's(Nurburgrin wtf lol),it feels like a new A-Spec event, really awesome if you ask meI hope we get some similar seasonals(LeMans racing,Tarmac Rally challenges anyone?
)
interpunctI don't mind this anymore either, at least I'm giving a spin to both my F1's. I was tired of seeing them just there on my garage without any usefulness at all just because PD decided to limit those F1's but not their own STANDARD F1.
When you land poll position. But wait, GT5 doesn't have any kind of qualifying set up. 💡
Fgt is no F1 car and if PD didnt mess up the v12s engine sound, I would prefer it.
The F2007 and F10 are just way to good in this game. Remember the Monaco TT? Top players did 1:08 times while in RL the F2007 barely touched 1:15.
PD needs to fix both cars aero...
If the FGT isn't a Formula car then what is it?
And it's a game so don't expect perfect simulation either.

Sorry to disappoint you, but the new seasonal is a joke too.Best seasonal ever was that one with the fiat, Subaru and some other car. Hardest seasonal ever and created soo many threads about how to beat it. I haven't tried this one yet but mixing some super hard perfect tune/skill seasonals make it so much more fun. Gets people playing all the time since they must beat it and wit stop until they do.
Best idea is to just return to GT4's formula of restricted races. Limit the tires, cars, power, class, weight, etc. and add the "pro AI" from arcade - BAM, instantly a seasonal that doesn't suck....well, they'll still suck, but they'll suck less.Still complaining is see, the problem is that in the Seasonals PD uses the variable intelligence AI and not the maxed out AI from Arcade mode Professional setting. This is the main problem in seasonals PD seems to like to make it doable for even the worst driver, but they should give us difficulty levels to choose from aside from performance difference to test our abilities against the AI.
Qualifying is pointless as the AI in this game isn't tough enough to give you any sort of competition, starting at the top of the grid would be boring. If they should put it in, why not, we have lots of people who want it for whatever reason. What I really want is PD to put in variable seasonal challenges that change or at least give you a theme to choose from i.e. old school muscle pre 80's american muscle, new muscle 80's - 90's, Italian super cars, etc. You choose whether cars tune or untuned, use weight limits, specific limitations to have different types of races. Each car should always have it's PP listed so at least it can be used to give you prize money based on how well you did against a car of better PP than your own. The AI should always be selectable in difficulty although I think the veterans would always pick Pro.
Seasonals should have some kind of theme put forth by PD themselves, i.e. AWD field and you use an FR car and the winnings will be awarded based on your vehicles PP versus the other cars in the field. Using an FR with lower PP will net you greater winnings, than using an MR car. Or have a field of MR cars and you choose a FWD, that's a big undertaking. But this format will allow you to choose the PP limit, as some drive trains the PP points don't go as high as others. They could call it "Words mean nothing...get on the track", PD would choose the course that gives the advantage the the prevailing drive train, but the player can choose to increase the laps for less payout and add damage for added payout. So much can be done because this game has such a large car count, you can literally makes all kinds of races. PD should also ensure that AI cars are tuned up as well to all meet the PP requirements.
I would love to get my hands on the event generator they use, Spec III should add the ability to select pro difficulty for seasonal races, increase laps and add damage and fuel and tire use for added difficulty and prize earnings.
I rambled on for a bit, the new seasonal was welcomed as I missed having the older Ferrari seasonal. Finally more use for this car since it is under strict regulations by ferrari so much so that you can't race the F07 vs the F10 go figure.

Like mentioned, the Cote d'Azur track in GT5 is far from the real Monaco. If you want to compare laptimes, use Monza, Suzuka, Fuji, Spa, or Nürburgring GP.Fgt is no F1 car and if PD didnt mess up the v12s engine sound, I would prefer it.

I thought SPA would've made sense there but I don't think they like to use DLC tracks in the seasonals.
