How are your cars coming along anyway =d24/7=? I suspect they must be almost finished by now eh? I look forward to driving your cars as well seeing the amount of work you put into them.

PS- If I make spelling mistakes it's because my computer is playing up lately. Same goes for if I disappear suddenly.

I might have to edit my Audi's setup sheet later if thats allowed. After using it in the Clubman Cup I noticed some seriously bad understeer, which I didnt notice at Citta. I'm going to fit a LSD and VDC, which'll kill the Quattro system and maybe improve the handling.

Are you sure? I can't see it anywhere.......

Edit: Never mind, I seen you are in the process of replying to the TCV3 thread.

Even noobs can drive my cars, I'm sure of that. Funnily enough, BMW that has received biggest increase in power ( nearly 50% ) is most calm to drive. Focus is bit more twitchy as the tail end wants to go in front and have a party with the front wheels, aka fishtailing. This represents itself especially in those quick serpentine switchbacks, mostly because front end has so much grip. And S-Tune.. well, it's a precision tool. if you knwo what you want to do and can do, it WILL do it for you.

My relatively average driving, and "average" driving style makes it so I can tune a car in quite efficiently for most noobs. If I'm unhappy with it, I won't release it. Mostly because noobs won't be able to drive it.

Some cars wind up getting EXTREMELY close to perfect, but never make it because of an annoying trait that I can't erase.

And yet the fourth-place-curse is still standing.

The ASL is close to perfect, especially on a full track with slightly altered settings to suit the scenario. I really can't wait until this begins, I'm going to have so much fun driving these cars. Kent, you are the king of making Tuner Challenges

Well I fixed the Audi and edited the post. Seems sometimes LSDs do have their uses on 4WD cars on GT4. I also upped the power and torque while I was at it. It goes a helluva lot faster now.

I think you probably made a good choice there - the reason a lot of people don't use VCD's or LSD's on AWD cars is that a lot of the modern ones have really capable continuiously variable torque distribution. Audi, though, uses a permanent torque split on most of the performance minded quattro-equipped cars - 60R/40F I believe - so using a VCD at the very least is a good idea if you want to combat understeer.

The biggest problem with AWD, for me at least, is that the center diff locks in... And that means understeer. There's no way to get the power to simply rout out to the rears on throttle so low-speed corner exits hurt badly.

Well actually, in the end I didnt use the VCD, it did just fine with just the LSD work. Although if I find more understeer, I probably will stick one on.

It can't hurt to try - if GT4's modeling is fairly accurate, permanent 10/90 F/R would be a lot less understeer-prone than permanent 40/60 F/R. But in the end, it doesn't really matter too much how it performs elsewhere - it's all about Citta this time 'round :sly:

Its fine around Citta, it was fine before I put on the LSD, but I like my tuner cars to work everywhere, or at least most tarmac tracks. :sly:

Some how that brought old song lyrics to my mind.. "Then I saw her face, now I'm a believer.." don't worry, I'm still working to eliminate that slight understeer in certain places. :trouble:

And not a trace.......of doubt in mind, I'm in love, oooohhhhh I'm a believer I couldn't leave her if I tried!
Yeah! GTP Idol.

*imitates Simon Cowell* That......was........wonderful.............ly AWFUL!! :p

Please don't singtype that, monitors cost money.

"I said "Get it in gear, let me make just one thing clear."
No-one told me, someone sold me.
I said "Colour my mind, 'cause the questions hard to find."
Won't you tell me, don't you sell me.

You got to hold your bullets, baby.
You know I got a right to plead.
You're about a rollin' mover honey,
Living pretty as you please.

Won't you take off that disguise, I can't see it in your eyes.
Where's the shelter, where's the shelter.
Oh! I ain't no disgrace but you can see it in my face,
It's gettin' better, gettin' better now.

You got to hold your bullets, baby.
You know I got a right to plead.
You're about a rollin' mover honey,
Living pretty as you please.

GUITAR SOLO

Yeah-yeah-Hey-Yeah !
I said "Get it in gear." "Get it in gear."

You know I got a right to plead.
Living pretty as you please.
Living pretty as you please, now.

Hah. Find out who does that one, have a cookie.

 In GT4, yes he would be a newbie. :p But for finding actual singers and (god forbid) talent, he's actually quite good at his job and been around for quite a long time.

Judging by his performance on Top Gear, he'd be an alright driver in GT4. It'll take him a while to get decent, but he wont suck... much. :sly:

I only just thought of an FF I could actually enter. Never driven it before so I'll have to see if it's a viable option. I didn't intend on entering but this car would feel right to me in a touge comp. (Actually there might be 2 worth testing ;) )

@ Holden

For now my T1 with the Elise is 34.7xxx to 34.9xxx consistantly and best up to now is 34.499s.
How is yours ? :scared:

Also, I'm starting to tune the AWD entry (STI Spec-C)... It's now doing mid 34's and 1'28 lap :trouble:

That's damn quick, my time is a 35.4 best I think it was. I made some good cars but people are beating them :nervous:

Edit: Let the people decide!! I made an FF car for this challenge, it has enough wheelspin to scare some but not enough to make it crap. The car runs a 39.6 T1 at best and gets a 1'42 lap time (that could easily improve though through better driving). Do ya'll think I should enter it?

If your confident its handling can make up for the wheelspin then I reckon you should enter it.

No harm in building and testing a couple of other cars though, see how they compare. :sly:

go ahead, no one's stopping you.., i bet my Spoon Civic can give it a tough challenge.., :trouble:

OK I will, just because I think of it as a Civic rival from Mitsubishi. The Mirage Cyborg, I had considered the new Colt, but looked at it and remembered how ugly it is :nervous: One wheelspinning Mirage coming up, tomorrow.

I'll have to work on one on my side... But I really don't know what I'll chose... Maybe another lightweight beast... Like a Mini or a vitz :trouble:

Minis don't do well, plus they're ugly :p
If it wasn't for the bore factor I'd have tested a Yaris RS Turbo.

I was gonna go for a Jazz, keeping the Auto box too. But I'm gonna save it for another tuning cup.

from the point of agility, short wheelbase is good. but these smaller cars seem to have issues deliver the power to the road, especially if they're not Hondas.

I know, hence the wheelspinning Mirage I'm going to run. (It gets sub 40sec T1 times so why not)
