Hi all, I have just tried this in the below video.

Interested to know what are people's thoughts on them generally, are they worth it in your view!? Also what other car/track combos allow for a no stopper?

I can't remember a top 0 stop win in Gr3, even 2 stops is more common

You see 0 stops work every so often in Gr4. RCF and NSX especially have great fuel mileage without losing too much time short shifting, but it only really works at tracks like Interlagos with a long pitlane. Also, you run a high risk of getting caught in battles as you drop back early on into the 1 stop midfield guys.

Only works if you are 1. Really fast like @mthomas_95, 2. Short pit time such as Yamagiwa

Been watching your videos, pretty good and interesting, recently changed to a wheel myself. One thing I would suggest is need to be more active on fuel saving to make it work better. Bathurst for example, put it in fuel map 2/3 up and down the mountain as you don’t lose so much time running a lower map in the technical sections. Then put it back in to fuel map 1 for the straights, you will save nearly as much fuel but you won’t be so slow down the straights.

Edit- also should add on the straights if you are slip streaming and not looking to pass, as you approach change the map up to 3/4

Almost got a win with a no stop on Bathurst. Lost on the final lap by a small margin to a guy 1.5s faster. I usually win on Nurb 24 without pitting if aliens aren’t there.

How does one do a no pit strategy? Do you set your fuel to 6? I drive pretty hard and im not fast because of it. My tires would be worn by the time I stop off for fuel.

Short-shift and use lower fuel maps in slower sectors where the impact on times is minimal. It’s not that easy to pull off. You might get wrecked if you’re not truly committed to your strategy and still try to hold other drivers behind you.

A few months back, a 0 stop race was sometimes the only way to win a Gr4 race thanks to the M6. Nowadays, there's too many factors that have to fall in place for a 0 stop to be viable. The better play is to conserve fuel if you're stuck behind someone and jump ahead in the pits.

I think you mean the M4. That was quite ridiculous. It was nearly impossible to win against an M4 in the hands of a decent driver. It could short shift and still set fast laps.

I'm useless running no stops, as I use auto gears, and am too slow on worn tyres!

I'm still confused as to how some people can start on pole, not stop for fuel or tyres, win by 30 seconds, and run fastest lap! It happened again at Bathurst the other day - looking at the replay the guy was shortshifting, but was also lifting out of the throttle dropping down the mountain.

Race C is all about being an alien or shoft-shifting the hell out of the Veyron and not pitting. Some crazies give you penalties though so it's hard to pull off perfectly each time! You signal to them, pull off line but they still manage to hit you ugh....

I can usually make it to an extra lap or two passed the half-way mark at decent pace, but I've never really been able to make an effective no-stop work without losing monumental time to everyone else. The only race where I was able to no-stop was one where nobody else pitted either, so... Yeah, pointless.

I can often make great strides with fuel-saving, but it's always the tires that remain my limiting factor.
