The number 666 and pentagrams in GT5.

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed how often the clock stops at .666 hundredths of a second when you hit pause in the middle of a time trial? OR what's up with the stock wheels on the Ferrari 599 looking EXACTLY like pentagrams, OR the Ferrari Enzo coming stock with 666 bhp? OR, best yet, Why does the center cap logo on the old school American Racing wheels that you can install on some cars have an upside down star when it's supposed to be right side up? Seriousely, what the deal?

I figure out of 1000 cars, at least one could possibly have 666 hp. When you pause the game at .666, that is not a random number the game comes up with. It is purely a coincidence that you happened to pause it at just over half a second. And the star logo on the wheels is upside down when you put them on. Who cares?

Just think of how many things on GT5 aren't demonic signs. Thousands. When you have that many variables, some things are bound to stand out in one way or another.

To answer your question, yes I notice these things. I think nothing of it for the reason I explained above. Besides, I don't believe in signs, superstitions, and such.

The upside down star on the American Racing wheels is not because the wheels are upside down, it is actually part of the logo on the decal of the center cap. You have to take a close up photo in photo mode to see it, and BTW, the original American Racing logo in real life has the star facing right side up. Check it out for yourself.

Funny, I have notice that, that does come up more than you would think. Theres also some cars @ 666pp as well as 666hp. It seem to come up in the time the most. I thought it was just my game. Not sure about any pentagrams though

Yes, I am aware of that. I just worded it badly in my post.

Are you one of those superstitious people who freak out at the convenience store when your purchase totals $6.66?

Ferrari wheels have typically been a five-spoke star design of some sort. Take a five-pointed star and turn it upside down, and there's your "pentagram". Yes, I'm sure it means Enzo was the devil...

As for your first question - Nope, it's just a matter of casual timing whenever you hit the start button to check on the clock stopping at .666 hundreds of seconds in the screen.

About the second and third question, I'm not quite sure why the upside down pentagrams are in common with both some of the Ferraris and American cars, isn't the design actually mutual for both countries? And of the horsepower problem, perhaps you surely can find other examples other than the Enzo.

Lucifer Rouge!!! Oh NOOOOOOO! But on a serious note there are no subliminal messages in GT5.

By the way santa smilies are gone :grumpy:

I've noticed the Enzo, but nothing else.

On the bright side, paused the game at exactly 0.420 seconds :P.

Thou shalt run to the hills, for Lucifer is upon us

As for the wheels, they are indeed shaped like pentagrams, but I don't think there is any meaning behind it. Presumably the designers likened the look of a polygon over spokes. I believe those pentagram's are the standard-optioned wheels on a 599 too.

And a little known fact: Ferrari was originally going to paint the Enzo in a nice 'Rosso Fire & Brimstone', but settled for the traditional 'Rosso Corsa' instead :odd:

I know two of my Honda NSX GT500's have 666bhp, both standards. One is the Mobil 1, but I can't remember the other offhand. They have traded their souls to the devil in order to overcome the rest of the field!

Anta baka?
He isn't yet, as he has pointed out valid facts up until this point. Unless you meant his implication, then perhaps ;)

I believe the Mugen NSX can hit 666bhp.

If I understand it right, OP implies how Japanese people with their own far-Eastern religion and philosophy principles that existed way before pseudo-Western "Abrahamic" conception are using severely twisted and missinterpreted symbols of the "belief" in order to promote values that make no sense from their own civilization perspective?

Yeah, right :D

What does 666 have to do with the Devil? May I ask..

It was mentioned in the Book of Revelation being described as the number of the beast or something like that...

ghsnu

LOL 👍

Shame the true number is 616 or OP might have been on to something.

That is debatable, and has been for centuries. It's also irrelevant, as who's to say what it means, the numbers themselves certainly aren't evil, just the same as pentagrams, five pointed stars, goats etc.

This is possibly the most ridiculous thread I've seen in a while. I'm sure there are plenty of other games where the clock might stop of .666 when you pause, the Ferrari 'pentagram' wheels are like that in real life, and so what if a car has 666hp?

Three days in a row, my alarm clock went off at 6, AND the numbers on the display are RED! :nervous:

The Ferrari 2007 F1 has 666hp, at least the one in my garage does. Got it brand new no oil change.. Maybe Ferrari are just devil worshippers in disguise lol

I once was driving my X1 with my DFGT and the wheel started shaking violently without me even touching it. It was the devil I tell ya!

A few moments later I heard an angelic voice. My younger cousin said "turn down the FFB you idiot." =X

Close call.
