I think he's talking about the FD on apricot. Which was actually pretty good.
 
if the competitor hits the wall or goes into the dirt, they will be docked off points

.....damm..... :banghead: so that means we cant do the dirt drop technique?:(

i didnt see that part of the rule lol
 
well they just said docked off points, maybe if it's an awesome dirt drop, they'll only knock off 1 point or maybe .1 points
 
Well maybe when they say hit the dirt they mean really all the way into the dirt.
 
im using the Chaser, and as you know its a 4-door full sized sedan, its pretty long. Laguna seca has some narrow spots so when i drift it, the read end usually hits the dirt, but i dont spin out. The usefulness of the dirt helps me lose more traction to the rear, so i can set up for the oncoming turn. I might say, it looks pretty cool :D
 
i do the same in my videos. only if you leave the track will points be docked.(all 4 wheels)
 
Just A wee Question for the Judges you say you want the movies to be 56K friendly so how many KB can we send?. I spose the clips could be broken down to several smaller clips for people sending a full lap.So i guess the cutoff for this round of the drift comp has been reached anyway.I cant wait to see the big chaser take on laguna seca Ethikz.:eek:
 
As a former 56k user, I'd say anywhere around and under 5mb is best. They just don't want to spend hours downloading a 30 second movie clip.
 
Hey guys, sorry about not being here the last couple of days :( I had to help my dad clean up the Living Room so that we can have more space up and I had to disconnect my computer :( RIght now I'm doing some last minute editing :D It's gonna take a long time ;)

JiF, try to keep it around 10 mb so it won't take that long to download for 56k users :) If it's too big though, use a download program called GetRight. Go to www.getright.com to get that program.
 
OK no not that 1:19 clips, my own drift clips, come on, i can drift and grip too, depends, anyways mine is a Silvia S13, FR and i guess thats it

can't get hold of capture gear in time :irked:
 
You can get capture cards from your local computer store :)
