Something cheap. £1500 1.3L (79 cubic inches) tops. The insurance will cost more than the car.

It's bound to be a hatchback but it will be my hatchback. Something from the late 90s, early 2000s; Fiat Punto, Ford Fiesta, Renault Clio, that general area. That's the standard for your first car in the UK.
 
We can't afford anything decent because the insurance costs more than the car. So however much you're prepared to spend on a car, you better save up at least double to cover the insurance.

I'd love to buy myself an old Peugeot 406 or a Ford Mondeo, but it would just sit on the drive, lying idle. I need a car that I can afford to both buy and insure.

Just wrote in the gear grinding thread that I can't buy my car until I fly home in May but...

...I'm so looking forward to it! My own motor. I can give it a nickname and spend weekends inspecting the engine. And buy a right old banger, declare it off the road and take that engine apart, perhaps.

German names and the spellings oil my gears.

I love the way they spell Karl. The K instead of C. And they have awesome names like Heinrich, or Sebastian, and I forget some others but... Ya I like German words and stuff.
 
Indeed, but I like Russian names and pronunciations more, Vladimir is an awesome name.

Your forgetting Wolf or Wolfgang. Yes that's on the sheet of names to pick from.

Hey! You stole the name I have in my German class! :grumpy: You must change it now!

Change it to Siegfried, Jorg or Bruno. Those are the best names. Besides, having to answer to the name Klaus in class gets really annoying after a year and a half.

I don't know why everyone hates her so much? Yes, the song was bad, but everyone has bad songs occasionally. It's the same as hating Justin Bieber, or here in the UK, One Direction: who's music I actually like.

If I were at her school, I wouldn't even talk to her because I know she already catches loads of 🤬 from millions of people already.

Just YouTube them. They were runners up on the X-Factor I think. Very popular with teenage girls, therefore not very popular with teenage boys. Personally I like their music, but I'd be killed at school for saying that.

Yay! Someone agrees with me... Although because they were on the X-Factor their music career will most likely crash and burn in a year or two.

I thought they would be beiber sounding or boy bsnd sounding but they have a unique rock sound.

Most of my female friends on fb have changed their fb name to a singer in 1 Direction.

What I think is, at least 1 Direction can sing, unlike Justin Beiber (IMO).
