Formula GT

Started a new account so I can win double prize cars, first thing in the used lot the Gran Turismo Formula 1. Dammit level 23 and about 4 mil cr. On a NEW ACCOUNT ! I swear PD loves to screw with you sometimes. Haven't seen it since. :(

- and the Nomad, saw it once also and I was 4 races behind level 21 (Extreme Like the Wind grinding)

My dad has a silver 2.5-16 cosworth 👍 when I finally get the road going evo2 I plan on painting it silver, and it will keep its originality because there were technically 2 silver 190e evo 2's made apparently :)

But yea I remember seeing this when I couldn't afford to get it but now that I can, errrr im obsessed with checking that dealership.
 
A bloody truck!!!!

i managed to win Laguna Seca with a Dihatsu Midget II, but it wont stand a chance on the oval so its big stupid truck time
 
wow, what really sucks is that you WIN a midget II from the truck races. just go (at least) bronze the second to last license and you get a ram ftw
 
Spent much of last night looking for the F-GT. Whilst looking, I found the Caterham that you win as the prize car for the F-GT race. Thought how ironic that was, and decided to buy it anyway since its pretty cool and I could gift one to someone once I win it's prize car counterpart. So I buy it and continue looking for the F-GT for a few hours. Now the Caterham shows up AGAIN.

I'm starting to think this is the cruelest of jokes.
 
Yes, the Formula GT car is different than the Ferrari F1 cars, the Ferrari F1 cars will not work, you have to pick up the Formula GT car in the used dealership.
 
Yes it is different, it's effectively the F1 car from GT4 (or one of them depending on your region?) and you need it for one of the events

The Ferrari F1 cars are nice and all but you can't use them in the same event, i'm still convinced this is some F1 licensing issue, as no one can stop Ferrari putting any of their cars in, but having a true F1 event wouldn't be their call

I'm guessing you can use them in other events though, anyone tried endurance?

I'm grinding for the FGT, have about a million to go, then will go back to collecting cars. Yet to see the following:

TVR Speed 12
Ford RS200 Rally Car

There are tons i've seen once but was way off affording them!

By the way, getting a little confused when people mention prize cars in this thread, surely the Indy race is in the Endurance hall, not Extreme? At least I assume it's called "Endurance", not unlocked it yet! Also i've completed German Touring Cars in both A and B Spec, didn't think that old 190 DTM was a prize though, need to check that :)
 
I've been trying to save up for a Citroen GT Race Car but I need 5 million credits for the Formula GT whenever I get the car and the money but I'm at the stage where I need racing cars for the Like the Wind and GT All Stars events and a decent American Car for the American races in Extreme.
 
I have been waiting for the Caterham too show up I'm at day 365 and haven't seen it yet  i have one sitting in my real garage so keen to get it, if any one wants to gift me one send it too Hotdognz 

I think they have the FGT available the first day so we all know where the hell to find it later.
 
stupid Formula GT :banghead: :irked: UGH! I saw it ONCE and it was before I had the required 4.8 million... I was thinking I wish there were a way to put a car on "hold" in the used car lot. It sure would have helped because 5 days later + hours of grinding/license tricks later I have yet to see it again!

I used my NASCAR Ford Fusion in the American Extreme event, found it pretty easy in A-Spec but my Bob doesn't like it so will soup up a GT or Vette for that.
 
I'm starting to doubt the existence of the formula gt. I'm level 28 A-spec and 30 b-spec and I'm yet to see one. I've got 9 million in credits just waiting!
 
I read the whole thread and have to say some of the rare cars for you guys have shown up a half dozen times for me. But what I have'nt been able to find is the Toyota 2000 GT, Toyota MR2 g limited supercharged, RX-7 LM race car, Gillet Vertigo race car (this car looks really insanely quick).

For all those who said they're waiting for a certain color, stop wasting your time they only come in one color in the used lot (prize cars are a different color). If you have to have a factory color your only option is to buy a premium car with the factory color you want (If its available) or maybe the color of a different model from the used lot.
 
another one: i was trying to find the mazda3 for the LOOOOOONGEST damn time. from day one i **** you not. it took me til level 23 and checking the lot after EVERY RACE and it finally appeared. i'm starting to think all the hastle wasn't worth it, lol

There's a good few cars I've not seen yet, TVR Speed 12, Escudo, FTO LM race car, Altezza Touring Car, Impreza Touring Car, Cizeta and many more. There's a lot of great cars I've wanted to buy but either couldn't afford or was saving for something specific at the time so passed up on.
