Do you love the or loathe them? I have just had a shocker at Blue Moon Speedway!!

I think if you do the corners like you did in your first lap, it will be easier:

It would be better if you where even closer to the wall right here and try to drive in a almost straight line from here

by doing that you can have higher speed through the corner, in GT League i always try to pass cars on the right side here in this corner, if you enter the corner where the car in front of you to the left are in the first picture, you have to brake more and you will loose a lot of cornering speed, i have raced this track in GT League 43 times and this is what this track have learned me and it's easier to get clean race bonus as well :).

They need to do some more license tests for Ovals as most racers are ignorant.

They also need to change the SR logic to allow bump drafting and be less punitive. Every FIA oval race I've done, regardless of result, at a DR A SR S level has been carnage and lost me a heap of SR points. I don't do them anymore.

Blue Moon is one of my favorite tracks. Of course I wish they'd modify the SR penalties for bump drafting here, but otherwise, I love the high speed drafting and there's often several lead changes during a race. If you can manage to stay with the lead pack you've got a chance for the win. My plan heading into every Blue Moon race is (if I'm not leading) is to try and be the last car in the lead pack, and stay there until there's a lap or two to go. I feel there's no sense in fighting for the lead all race and potentially causing a wreck. I just hang back, watch the first couple cars fight it out, then make a move at the end.

In over 500 races, some of the most exciting have been at Blue Moon for me. Naturally I've had some bad moments here too, but we all have on every track in the game.

Is there a primer for how oval racing works somewhere? I'm from the UK (we don't have oval racing in Europe) and I really don't get how it works, as we don't have it here. BTW not an oval-hater, just don't understand it.

Must be some NASCAR races on YouTube. See if there is some videos for Pocono, similar to bluemoon I think. If i am wrong sure an American can correct me!

They could do with stock car variants of the Challenger, Camaro and Mustang. They could also modify the SR calculation so that legitimate strategies such as bump drafting aren't discouraged.

I'm a NASCAR fan first, fan of other motorsport second. I don't generally have fun racing GT cars on ovals though. It feels unnatural. If we had proper stock cars, it'd be a lot more fun.

Some ovals are better than others! I quite like Blue Moon (not the reverse so much), not a huge fan of Northern Isle (rubberband milage aside) or BB.

I enjoyed throwing the #48 NASCAR around in GT6 and would like to see something similar in GTS. Ironically in real life I find oval racing really boring, though I appreciate there is most definitely an art to getting it right.

Try a bone stock Chris Holstroms Nova on Northern Isle. Put brake bias at -2 or -3, and run a custom one-make arcade race. I've been driving that exclusively recently. So much fun.

Only touch them when the game requires me to in a mission.
There's huge XP to be had from running the Premium Sports Lounge races with lower category cars and the Blue Moon Bay ovals can be done cleanly with an N400 Ferrari 458 for double bonuses.

Hunting down the Veyron and LaF in an N400 Alfa 4C Road car at Maggiore is good fun too, but it's not got the poke for the Oval race.

I've done the GT league races.
For me the Maggiore race is much better, but that is purely a personal thing.
I passed level 30 so XP is not necessary anymore.

I think it's good that there are ovals in the game, a lot of people enjoy them.
Personally I'd rather turn my wheel both ways ;)
