WOW!!!! nice looking skylines and the NSX is awesome!!! the other ones are nice too!! but here in the U.S they do use Tax payer money right?

the entire government runs off tax payers money... how much of it is actually used well is another question...

but i highly doubt police will pay for this cars from their own pockets :P ;)

Are you asking how much it costs to put policemen in patrol cars or how much it costs to have police depts AT ALL? (answer: a few billion a year; a tiny fraction of total local, state and federal government expenditures)

EDIT: Nevermind. The very slow loading attached pic explains your question.

I'm sure GM cut state governments a heck of a sweet-heart deal on all the Camaros. I'd guess much less than what you and I would pay for one.

any wild guess as to how much they cost for them?

Ottoman, I see you've included a pic of that Italian Police Lamborghini Gallardo, cool!

No Italian taxpayers cash spent on that one, it was donated by Lambo themselves.

And the officers' suits were designed by Armani, or somebody like that...

Nice job if you can get it.

Depends how many they bought - but you can typically assume if it's just one that it's 26-38% off invoice. If it's a 1998 (and it's not, but I do have a 1998 car guide right here), base is $16600, meaning invoice was probably about $15100 - meaning they probably got it for about $10600. That's if they got just one, remember - if they got several, they probably just sign a contract with GM with one number and GM delivers their cars - six for $38000, maybe.

You brag about speeding at 115mph, then you have to ask why a high speed pursuit vehicle is needed? :dunce:

You are the reason it is needed.

^What he said

In the UK we have several Impreza police cars - nothing outruns them on our roads - and Northamptonshire have a Ferrari 360 Modena.

Usually, police get their cars at a price not much higher then factory price, since usualy the manufacturer with the best price gets the deal. The money is earned servicing those cars. Every 20000 miles or so regular check up plus whenever something goes wrong. And the police cars are on the road 24/7, so just imagine the how long does it take to get to 20000 miles.

For $28,000-$31,000 Those B4C Camaros are solid gold in aluminum wrapping: V-6 bodywork and wheels with LS1 V-8 making 330-hp, plus heavy duty reinforced suspension, high-capacity radiator, transmission oil cooler (on automatics), dual batteries, dual spares, larger fuel tank and reinforced body. Consumer models are sought-after among Camaro enthusiasts...

Sting. The musician.

His band in the 1980s was called "The Police".

The Acura NSX and Nissan Skylines are obviously JDM, but how can you call the Impreza 2.5 RS, BMW 3-something and Porsche 993 'JDM'? Especially since the Impreza and BMW say 'Police' and the Porsche says 'Polizei'? (which is dutch for police I think)

Oh, sting. He was the one with that song "I'll be watching you" that P. Diddy remixed, right?

The song was called "Every Breath You Take" and was one of the most famous songs of the 1980s. In my opinion, it's the best song ever recorded. The most interesting thing about it was that it debuted 21 years ago - I swear it's the only timeless song I've ever heard, that is, in my opinion, it could come out today and be just as much of a hit as it was in 1983. A lot of people say the Beatles are timeless, but no folks - the Beatles were from the 1960s and sound like the 1960s. Anyway, The Police were one of the biggest bands of the 1980s - "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic", "Roxanne", and "Don't Stand So Close to Me" are also considered classics. None are anywhere near as good as "Every Breath You Take", though.

Incidentally, Famine, I almost made a similar joke. :p It's kind of hard to resist.

Haha, I think it's great that the Police have fallen so far that they are now known as the band that had one of their songs remixed by P. Diddy.

Is the Dr. Love's Don't Stand So Close (from Initial D Selection 2 Soundtrack) version a remix/redo then? I'm very sorry I do not know much about older rock music, especially the 50's and 80's. Just wondering if the lyrics are the same... :D

I think Germany has 2 Porsche police cars. But a few Germans have seen them speeding on the Autobahn. They weren't chasing anyone, just speeding through.

They've got TWO Porsche police cars in Germany?! That's it?! I'm calling bull****.

Victor Vance, I'm absolutely positive there is no correlation between the Dr. Love version and The Police version.

Hiya! :D :O  Meow! (='.'=)

mmm...this is interesting topic to read and look ati! :O:O:O I always find every cop intimidating because of all the training they have gone through and know they can kick a lot of booty! :O I wish the cops can have cars like those as their POLICE cars! It will make them look REALLY intimidating !! :O:O:O
