Whoah! From now on, your new handle should be "lucky_soul".
Btw mario
In shift are we going to race with that awfull car with the "wooden" tires.
Henrik! The 72 Skyline is a lovely car. What's the matter with you!

But I have to admit, I did have a slight advantage. About a month ago I had a 3 lap race in this car at the Nurburgring with Hun200kmh & AlanG184. Mario and I danced a bit and Alan disappeared into the distance. (Gee, who would have thought). During this event, at the end of lap one I made a big mistake and spun but on lap 3, I was finally coming to grips with the car and slowly catching Mario. The beauty of this car, is that for the entire length of the ring, you only need take your foot off the throttle 4 times and hit the brakes twice. Or maybe it's the other way around.

Either way it's obviously an exaggeration. But I DO think Shift is more interesting (and tollerable) with the slower cars. Tier 3 and up and it just gets worse and worse.
GT5P "afterthoughts": The random matching (or "the lack of a lobby system") is a serious problem if the Pentathlon event proves to be popular. And I can only think of one way to deal with it. To split the participants in groups with a maximum of 6 players
As I mentioned on your visitor page, I ended up the 'host' for both GT5P rounds. Or at least I believe that was the case. And I find it quite interesting that in both rounds, one person was left out. And I begin to wonder if Prologue has just as much of a problem making a P2P connection with NAT2 & NAT3 players as Supercar Challenge does. But it's just never been obvious because of the way the player matching process takes place. We probably just assume there was an issue or a full lobby or you were thrown into a lobby with a different host that collapsed. Perhaps we only see it in SCC because of it's lobby system. Shift also has an issue with collapsing lobbies but we don't noticed it the same way (I'm guessing) because the game uses EA's own servers and maybe they simply handle it differently. I've never played F1:CE online but the collapsing lobbies Ardius mentions could ALSO be a problem with P2P connections failing the stability test. So indeed, with larger lobbies, an incompatiblily issue could be a problem with ANY of these games and I would suggest a maximum of 6 players no matter which game you're playing. Having hosted dozens of organized SCC events, I can tell you beyond any doubt, if you have 12 players in the lobby, at least one person will have a problem.
FWIW, I was scared to even enter the Prologue event because I hadn't played GT in months and as we all know, being even a little out of practice with these games can have a major impact. While I was waiting, I did a single practice lap and I'm glad I did because I spun about 4 times. But it was just the oil I needed to start the machine running and I didn't totally embarrass myself and my laps times were...well they were OK.

Granted, I spun in both rounds and unfortunately hit Bjorn in the braking zone for turn one. I waited for him but it compromised both of our races. But I was relieved not to be completely blown into the wind. Of course, I'm sure everybody else was out of practice too and while the Ferrari 512BB has good power on the straights, my cornering ability was compromised. Still love that car though. 👍
