which you proved by the previous question that you didn't have the correct answers for that one so why should we trust you to have the correct answer(s) this time?

Not a personal attack on you, but a very annoyed critique of your "question". I mean, seriously, you do realize that the 24 Hours of Le Mans is almost 80 years old? The race averages about 40-60 entrants a year.

Now, that's around 3200-4800 cars that have contested the race, give or take.

I just skimmed over some of the postwar makes and models that have used GM engines and I had 9 makes.

GM at Le Mans is nothing new. If you want your "quiz" to have either more specific answers or be more involving, please ask more specific questions.

well I haven't been a sportscar fan that long (and have Obviously have never been the person that quizzes people)so I've only been watching for about three years (starting in 03) but rest assured there will be better questions.

Sounds good to me, but here's a good example of a good question.......

What was the last front engined American gran prix car to contest a round of the World Championship?

now I get it. so come sunday, I will ask a Quetion like that.

All right

And for the record, the answer is the 1960 Offenhauser Scarab as built by Lance Reventlow. These cars were powered by the infamous Offenhauser DOHC four (complete with desmodromic valves) and represented the state of the art for a 1959 Formula One car.

Unfortunately, they made their debut in mid-1960, and the best they could muster was a 10th at the American Gran Prix at Riverside. While ambitious, and occasionally fast, the Scarab was simply outdated as a Gran Prix car and Reventlow Motors underfunded as a Gran Prix team.

It's a shame, too, because it's such a pretty car.

the Correct answers to Question #2 number was:
Lister chevrolet and the LMP
Chevrolet GTP
Riley & Scott MK III
Marcos Mantara
Marcos Mantis
Mosler MT900R
Pontiac Doran
Pontiac Crawford
Pontiac Riley
along with the others answers already listed by Layla's Keeper.
Question #3:
What country has the most wins in the 24 hours of daytona, 24 hours of le mans, and the 12 hours of sebring?
Bonus-what car maker gave them most of the wins?

Easy, Germany with Porsche.

In fact, the 90's alone saw Porsche win Le Mans as a manufacturer with the Dauer 962, the Joest/TWR WSC car, and the '98 Porsche 911GT1. On top of that, you have BMW winning with their V12LMP and as an engine manufacturer with McLaren.

Start adding to that the 911's absolute GT domination, the multitude of 956/962 wins, the domination of the 935 (Moby and K versions), the 936 open cockpits, the 908's, the 917's, and so on down the list.

Well, Layla's Keeper Has got the answer correct, which is germany with porsche.

Question 4:
who were all the teams that ran the Viper GTS-R from 98 to now?

Bonus: out of all of those thems, which ones ended up running the Audi R8?

BTW, Congrats to JR. and his crew winning at Chicagoland. 👍

answers... Bold: the R8 Teams
Carsport holland
Team Goh
Chainberlain Engineering
Team Oreca
Carsport America
Larbre Competetion

Tomarrow comes the next question.

So what about the Paul Belmondo Viper GTS-R from the 2001 Le Mans? And the Equipe de France Vipers from 2001 & 2002?

I look forward to the next question of the quiz in which the quizmaster doesn't know the answers.
