The Takata NSX photo is stunning.. I love the color and the sense of speed.. I would like more of the car visible but overall a 10/10...9.9 if I wanted to be picky
...Now...
So I'm fairly new to this although I have been obsessed with photo mode since GT4. I love this thread because it can give me genuine feedback on how to improve my technique. I've decided to place a random assortment with various themes and ideas. I am hoping to see how they are critiqued

Hi everyone, these are two pictures I took some time ago during online races, and I should point out these were my first attempts of taking decent pics. :dopey:

Driftin of your pics my favourite is the first one of the toyota 86. I particularly like the background you used for that and the sense of speed you've given it.
Maybe the car is a bit too dark but that's just my opinion. Overall a good pic anyway.
I almost forgot...nice choice of helmets...👍

6/10

The photos are okay, there is nothing to really complain about. But, the cross-processing filter looks horrible on the first photo.
Try using panning mode 2 or 3, that might help your photos.

Someone evalutate this photo I took please: (it is an edited photo)

I have to disagree, Horde. Detail (or lack thereof) doesn't equal a stunning photo. Musical, this is FANTASTIC, your use of (what I believe may be) Thresholds just makes it for me. The absence of detail and intricacies creates a sense of aggression and brute force, while your composition as a whole screams "elegance". Very realistic and very powerful. Keep up the great work. 9/10

The R34 photo is one of the best super bright photos on here normally I don't like it when a picture is that bright or shiny but this was well taken for sure.

Rating the TAKATA DOME NSX - Looks gorgeous, Love the sun effect. Wish I could see a bit more of the car itself though. Excellent shot nevertheless 9.2/10

^^ I like the scenic shot here, especially the light glowing over the hills. But it could have looked alot better if the camera was focused on the black car more than the red 👍 6-10

That is a beautiful, realistic shot anthaliscious 👍 Great angle, no jaggies, great sense of speed, and good depth of focus. Really can't find anything wrong with it 👍 9.5/10

Here are 2 for rating:

Kinda like the sharpness of it, 9/10

Since I'd like input on my photos and since I'm pretty much done with the "Realistic Photos Thread", I'll post my stuff here starting with many of my first ones:

I say your best pic is the 2nd one. The light is almost perfect and the angle is great i would just make it faster. I think it would be better:tup:.

Thanks. I honestly didn't feel that wasn't of my best as it seemed stale in comparison to the others so thats cool to hear.

Personally my favorite picture here, perfect angle & lighting. 9/10.

The scenery is beautiful, but I find that it doesn't highlight your car well enough, same with the angle. 7/10.

For some reason I find this picture a bit too bland, perhaps play with the filters, etc. 5/10

Anyway, here's my picture :)

Not a big fan of the use of miniature filter in this picture. Also the focus of the camera seems to be on the concrete barrier to the right instead of being on the car.
I think if you could zoom in and capture more of the car, it would also improve the photo.

A 6/10.

Because I really like this thread and the fact that you receive a feedback that helps you improve your skills I've come up with a couple of new pics.
Both were taken during an online race and I was racing with the orange "beast" although I can't seem to find a decent setting for it :ouch:
Anyway let me know what you think :nervous:

Redsuns I like the idea that you had of taking a photo of your car while in the distance you have fireworks going on. Still the fireworks are a bit hard to see (sorry for the bad explanation :ouch:) because the first thing you notice is obviously the car, and it sorts of take your attention away from the rest of the picture. Overall I think it's a good shot considering it was difficult to integrate both the car and the background without having one to prevail on the other 👍

Those are great, 7/10

Was experamental at the time, don't really like the filter now that I look at it.

Second one is better than the first but the miniature filter ruins it. 6/10

my meagre attempt :sly:

I'd say 7.5/10 I like the angle of the shot

I think your picture needs some recognition. (Yet another photo skipped, don't people read the OP?) I'd rate it an 8.5-9 out of 10. I love the colors and how the glowing brake stands out in the photo. Overall, I like it and I can't really see anything wrong with it. :D

Here is another of mine.
CircuitdelaSarthe2009_2.jpg

I'd give this a 5/10, since I can't really tell if this photo is supposed to be of the Jaguar sitting still or moving. The lighting is a bit all over the place and details are hidden in the photo making it feel unclear on the main focus of the picture. If you're looking to get a moving shot, try using Panning Mode 3 and turning down the shutter speed. Some more practice will help. :)

Here's mine. Can't really decide which to post. So I'll post four of them.

I Like the first one over the second, because, (in my opinion) the pink doesn´t get along with the black background. The background itself is awesome. I like the contrast of the trees and the dark nightsky. In the first one, the car kind of vanishes into the background, which makes it somewhat challenging to look at. Also the angle of the shot fits well.
