I like these a lot, the blossom falling in the foreground finishes it off really well. Only one little niggle with the first one- i see you have angled the tyres pointing away from the camera, i think it will look better if you could see the alloys, so angling the tyres towards the camera.
The second i can't fault, other than the tyre angle again, also perhaps the car could be exactly in the corner of the photo.

Here's mine, these are the first proper photos i have taken so im just looking for some general advice

Good composition on all, great lighting, although the last one seems a little dark. The sense of speed is great...I'd say the third one down is my personal fave overall I give you a 9/10

Both shot's are very good visually..
The first one is a better shot in my book because of the motion.. it merits a 10
now the second one is everything I want except for the sense of speed
but before i give it a score I want to point out some of the specific things I like
-the way the red/white patterns on the car/track match(nod)...the slight tilt and curvature.. the background..some might prefer it more out of focus, but I like the look in this case..overall i say 9/10... really great work

now an old one by me.. one of my earliest pics

Liked you 1st pic but that sun could be more yellow. They are unedited? 7.5:)

Wow, what can I say Horde, stunning picture. Were you trying to completely center the car in the frame? Personally, I like to have my subject slightly off center...but that's just me. The lighting on the front right corner of the car is perfect, and all the reflections are very cool. That thing looks like it was polished 5 minutes ago. Gotta give that one a 10!!

Btw this is my first time posting in this thread, so go easy on me k :nervous:

Yes i was trying to center it yes:). Thanks :O.

On another note your pics are great. My favourite is the 2nd one so ill rate that one. Fantastic angle and the effect on colours with the public behind is awesome. Personally i would only give it a little bit more detail so we can see the pilot better and possibly some crazy colour on the rims or diferent car colour. Anyway its 9.0 for me:tup::).

^^^Nice shots Horde. 👍 I like both, though the top one is my personal fave. The lighting is very dramatic and that RM NSX looks insane. 10/10!!! 👍

Nice job! Your pictures seem a bit dull, but overall show a good sense of speed and movement. 8/10

E dub, I like how your pictures have a sense of movement. I especially like your last picture because it looks like your car is about to pop out of the picture and run right by me. Overall I would give you 8/10

Jtimmsjr,
1st photo: I like the fact that you captured the movement of the exhaust flame.👍 but I think the headlight are a bit over exposed. I also think it could have been better if the wheels were spinning, and if the background wasn't black and white. 7/10

2nd photo: I think it needs that feel of excitement. The smoke is jagged, but then again it happens to most of the drift shots. 4/10

Anyway, here are my photos...

The first one has a good sense of speed, the composition is ok and the lighting isn't too bad. I might have blurred the background a little more to give more focus to the car but overall 8.5/10

The second shot I don't like as much. The composition and lighting aren't bad but the car looks like it's sitting still so it's not very exciting, not bad, just not great. 6/10

I really want to start my own gallery but I have no clue how to take pictures so I though this thread would be good because I can get constructive criticism.

That sky look a bit strange but i like it anyways. Its a Honda and its the amazing NSX so i give it a 8.5.

7.7/10. I have a love for pictures that have the car entering out of tunnels. However, there is a bit too much sun and color that needs to be toned down a notch. Great pic though. 👍

Now here is mine:

You didn't rate either of my photos. Next time read the rules before you post please.

masterrawad your picture isn't showing up therefore I can't rate it...that said, I'm reposting these because they were skipped above.

Liking the first one, but I think maybe the sky is a bit too bright, overall I'd give it 7.5/10.
Second one... well it's really really good, good sense of speed, lighting is great and it just looks really good. I'd say 8.5/10 =)

^ This is what happens when you take a corner on the ring a wee bit too fast ^

On the IS F above, like the grass and focus, Lighting could be tweaked, other wise good story with it 8/10

In Terms of unedited quality, how do these look?

The first one is sublime, the composition, lighting, focus, all great 10/10
The second looks like a rocket propelled car taking off, I can't even really tell what car it is, either way, I give it 7.5/10
The third I don't like at all. The car is washed out, and the background is too dark.4/10
The last one I like everything except it seems to be overexposed so you can't really make out the smoke trail. Still a very nice shot though.8.5/10

Shouldn't this be only for 1 picture (rules are getting even broken )

I like both pics because of the focus on the car .. I will give to both 7/10.

My turn,

^ I like the effect you brought into the picture, but the tad bit overexposed background just distracts me from the car, just a little bit. 9/10

Oh, and the OP says 5 posts maximum.

Here's my two:

Here's my two:

1st pic:
This one is one is jaw dropping  There's an incredible sense of speed, and you did a great job of capturing the tension of the moment. A great action shot. I'm not quite sure that the GT5 camera would let you pull it off, but I think it would be nice to see the lead car just a touch out of focus (like the second car is), as I think that would enhance the sense of speed even more. Also, and I'm nit-picking now, it would have been cool to have the two sister cars in the shot instead of two of the exact same car. 9.5/10

2nd pic:
Another great shot! The first thing that jumped out at me was how the first three cars are all from the same era, and the rest are out of focus enough that it's hard to tell what they are, unless you really inspect...if you did that on purpose, well done 👍 I find the lights on the bridge to be a little distracting. Perhaps a higher angle while looking slightly down would allow you to cut more of the bridge to be cut out of the shot? 8/10

1st. Nice, but there's nothing that makes it stand out 7/10
2nd. I like the sense of speed, but the camber ruins it 6.5/10
3rd. Eh, pretty much the same as the 2nd, but without camber (or so little camber that it isn't noticable) it makes the picture way better 8.5/10

I don't quite understand what you mean by camber...to me, camber usually refers to suspension, so not sure why that's an issue for the photo. If you mean the rotation angle of the camera, again, I'm not sure what you are talking about. I took that shot pretty much level...look at the painted lines on the road. What makes it seem tilted is the on-ramp in the background.

The camber of the wheels.

twitcher i would give your 2nd pic wich is my favourite a 9.0. With a bit more sharpness and maybe colour possibly a 10. :sly:.

And drift cars use wider camber angles so its a normal thing to be using.

6.0 the colours feel numb and without life.
