Yes, the pictures of this thread are not only against the rules in my opinion, being mature content without a doubt... but also, they are a sign of the total lack of respect this person has for the victims in his pictures.

The link I provided above was gonna be a bunch of pictures, but I couldnt do it and still feel "ok" with it due to the fact that I felt it was a horribly disrespectful thing to do to these people.

This person posted horrible content for no reason besides furthering his own political, social, and religious agenda.

I have deleted the attachments from the beginning of this thread. They were both upsetting in the extreme, and we are honour-bound to consider the wide-ranging demographics of GTP members.

In future, please post links only to this form of material, and post an advisory, so that people may see the pictures if they wish, rather than having these pictures forced upon them.

I am uncomfortable with him (A A) being censored. As much as I disagree with everything he says and quite possibly the fact that he even exist I still feel he has a right to express his views and those pictures although not pretty are an accurate representation of the results of armed conflict and are actually mild compared to some of what I have seen both as pictures and in RL. hiding the pictures will not help others understand the horrors of war and hence the tremedouse responsibility we have to use war as an instrument of last resort if it is used at all. IMO pictures of war and its aftermath should be manditory veiwing to all adults of voting age.
Maybe by setting an example that a free exchange of idea's is possible would do more to help him and others to sort out the truth from the crap they are being fed. His veiw is far from a minority in the rest of the world in fact his may even be on the milder side. There is a large body of people that beleive this crap and worse, that is their reality. this forum is our reality and to some it may seem that these people are all morons and idiots but thats far from the truth they are just as intelligent and caring as the best of us . They get their information from different sources and make rational decisions on them the same way we do. they have decided from the information they get and the reality that they live in that we are bad , greedy , exploitive, murdering, thieve's. And are reacting to that the same way that we all would if we came to the same conclusions that they have. Anyway sorry for all the words..I just hate censorship . And yes I am aware and concerned about others sensibility's.

The majority of the visitors and regular posters of this site are people under the age of 14.

I don't think those pics are very appropriate. And you don't need pics like that to realise war has it's innocent victims.
 
While I appreciate your comments, ledhed, and your feelings toward liberty, the pictures themselves were not appropriate for a site with such a large underage crowd.

Links, on the other hand, would be fine because only those choosing to follow them would be affected. Note that the same does not hold for pornographic material which has statutory viewing requirements.

i can not beleive that couple of pictures have stired up so much resentment and so much hate, that it spewed all over this thread.
since we call our selves democratic people why is it so hard for you guys to accept the idea that there are people against the war.
why is it when al-jazeera aired pictures of murdered P.O.W.s everybody was outreaged and every body attacked them, but when i posted pictures of what the american military has done to the iraqi people everybody said these pictures are the part of the naturall course of the war.......................
americans are humans and this kid is not. he is not a human so he deserves to be killed with a bunker buster.................now you will go on saying well sadam used these people as human shields, and i totally agree with that. BUT what really amazed me is the amount of fire power used in this war. the amoumt of bombs that where droped where not targeting saddam, they where targeting the iraqi morals, it was intended to make them give up on saddam because he is causing them all this bombing from the U.S.. so basically is was not about freedom of iraq but the fall of saddam. because with his fall there will be no more controle over iraqi oil.
AND YES IT IS ALL ABOUT THE OIL, NOT THE PEOPLE OF IRAQ.
the first thing that was secured after taking over baghdad was the oil fields and the rifineries. they where able to secure them, but they where not able to secure the goverment buildings from theives, they where able to secure the oil but not hospitals from getting robbed.
please give me a freaking break...........................................
you can call me what ever you want but i will never back up on what i think about the whole thing....................
and please stop the whining and nagging about being unpatriotic, if you people have a sense of patriotism you would sense that this war is not for the benefit of america or the americans.................................

but what really suprises me is how this administration was elected, but what puzzeles me even more are the people in it:
W. bush...............son of george bush (sereved as president during gulf war)
C. Powell.............secretary of state( former generall in gulf war)
D. cheney..............vice president ( former secretary of deffense during the gulf war)
D. rumsfelld...............secretary of deffence(Special Presidential Envoy to the Middle East (1983 - 1984, in which he met with saddam and declared he was not a threat to the u.s. and was supplied by chemicals to kill iranians on behalf of the u.s.)
this administration was tailor made for this war and what was going to happen begining with sept 11 uptill the war on iraq!!!!!!!

the airspace of washingtong d.c. was so tight past sept 11, thateven a bird can not fly over washington with out being investigated.
now you would say how would i know that, well my uncle is a pilot and when sept 11th happened he did not beleive it. because if a jet enters that airspace by mistake it takes 2 minutes for two f-15 e's to escort it out the airspace. so how come that 2 planes violated the airspace and where not intercepted by the fighter planes. and there was 30 minutes between the two of them not 2 minutes but 30 minutes.

Actually, it wasn't the pictures here that caused resentment and "hate".

Mostly it was stirred up by your opinion that it's perfectly acceptable for Saddam to grind his own people up in a Whisper Chipper - a device used to dispose of chopped down trees - and torture them in many other ways.

And that it was perfectly acceptable for him to harbor a 25-acre training ground for suicide bombers and other terrorists.

And that it was perfectly acceptable for him to use nerve gas on thousands of Kurds within his own country.

And that it was perfectly acceptable for him to invade his neighboring countries.

And that it was perfectly acceptable for him to kill approximately 100,000 of his own people in various ways, just for disagreeing with him, or just for suspiscion of that.

And that it was perfectly acceptable for him to play the UN for suckers for 12 years, instead of simply complying immediately if he really didn't have anything to hide.

All this is acceptable to you, but less than 500 civilian casualties - caused partially by Saddam's stated policies of placing his military - is not.

You of course have a right to your viewpoint. That is no guarantee that it will be popular or agreed with, especially not since the facts so clearly contradict the interpretation you've chosen.

By the way, the name Lyndon Larouche pretty much invalidates most of your statements here, and puts my interest in this conversation at an end.

Yea, first its all about expressing radical views, which at times can be taken as sincere or even educated in some ways...

But luckily this political and ideological foe of mine (allah_allfruity) has gone with the greatest way to debunk the iraqi war argument...

OIL

That one statment makes this all so much easier to deal with because it turns a person who could appear to be informed or educated, into a person that is just a fool.

Thank god for the oil argument, for a minute there I thought I was gonna have to take this serious.

oh yea, thats right, maybe I should give a quick lesson on the basics of supply and demand...

You see, when you want the price of an object to drop, you try to increase the availible supply.

That makes it so you dont have to pay as much since there are more of that object around.

With oil, this could have easily been acheived by releasing sactions on Iraq.

Oddly, this oil fever ridden president didnt do that.

Instead he went with the imperialistic approach. (wink wink)

Oh wait, when you go with imperialism, you seize control of the victim countries assets; not allow that country to control those natural resouces on its own and set up a (awe feared by the dictatorships of the mid east) democracy.

So I guess the american government really is one big screw up...

first they forget about the easy route to oil using supply and demand economic pricipals...

Then they forget how imperialism is really done... (maybe we could get some help with the imperialism from the french. *cough, indochina, cough*)

Have you stopped for a second to try and reply to my post above? Let's see you actually engage in a dialogue, instead of simply conducting these "surprise attack" posts and then running away like a cowardly terrori... errrrr, I mean "noble Islamic guerilla freedom fighter".
