uk prices shown here, from the 1980s..early 90s
Is the intention of the thread to make me feel depressed that the same crappy toys are still available but cost nine time the price or appreciative that a 32" TV costs as much as a 16" used to?
None of these are that old, but relevant:
Oh them feels.
I had the Fast Traxx, albeit in orange and I also had the RS Cosworth Scaletrix set.
A few more goodies..check out them carpets..
who had an commodore cdtv my mate did....
I had that Nikko Chariot 2. Great fun especially on a wooden floor with the rear tires removed so it would drift and slide.
Is it still possible to buy a race track set?
I want one.
Also had that Sega Master System II and Mega Drive.
Sold the Master System to my nephew and stupid as I was gave the Mega Drive away with the PlayStation 1 when I sold it.
But I corrected that mistake last year.
These are in british pounds....OMG
I remember reading some old Argos catalogues from the 90's a while back, was a good laugh to see what was in at the time and how ridiculous the prices were.
Everything is soooo cheap now its unreal...
Except houses. And cars. And college. And...
One blank vhs tape from a 1979 issue of argos, oh my god, I just tried an inflation calculator, this equates to £75 in todays money.
I get £66 from the Bank of England calculator. Bargain!
I got this, nice, pricey anyway.
