No sabemos a qué hora será. We don't know actual time yet..
Could that be read as: "No knowing what the time will be." ???

I understood "hora" "que" and "será" as "time (hour)", "what" and "will be"

Bit of useless posting but meh..... BUUUT, I do have new on my Laguna Seca write-up. 2,845 words and counting, just finished an account of lap 18 out of 31.

Which times ARE those (refresher please) just quote them.

And, that Spanish means "We don't know when it will be."

Fridays 7-8:30 est

Saturday's 6:20-830 ish

I just learned that today!

Then, it might not be hard to understand Anthony & me...

Anyways, what's the news on the Audi/Ferrari power situation? The Audi handles better and better with time, but, REALLY needs at least 5 more... the Ferrari, perhaps 10. The Corvette and Viper are running good times still, even at 485 hp. And, I tuned a BMW for ALMS that runs 1:44.000 nicely, and with 590 hp, can run 1:43.000s. So, the BMW M3 IS in the Rolex GT... and, it has like 500 hp... I'm just tossing ideas around...

I think the issue before was the weight. The M3 is a great deal heavier than the rest of the cars competing, whereas the rest of them are able to meet the 1280kg mark with ballast spare for some added weight distribution. Since we've established a 1280kg constant for the weight in GT Class, it made it easier to balance out the lap times with power modifications. Many cars couldn't match the weight, and when they could, generally their power wasn't good enough to hit the benchmark lap time.

I think 1:45.XXX was the lap time benchmark around Daytona for all cars competing in GT, and while others can get high 1:44's (tyre wear on) in qualifying, it's generally just a difference in driver ability and experience with the car.

Try testing the Vette, Italia and 4.2 R8 running 475 bhp, with a range of 5 bhp, depending on which one runs consistently superior and inferior between the three.

Guys, I have a question, what is the ranking of the gt class cars: from best to worse!, because I don't want to use the best car of the class. If on the race day, I'm the only DP car, I'm gonna to compite at GT class, but, I don't want to do it with the best car! Could you answer that question?

Polarbear, can I do that?

Yep:)

1.corvette

2.audi,Ferrari,viper :p

Damn, so, running 1:43.XXX in my Bimmer was pretty alright then?:sly:
These ALMS chaps are in some rather boiling water.

I am excited waiting for the race, I hope in the race will be there all drivers, GT and GP. Would be an espectacular race....!!

Aren't the Ferrari spots full though?

Hmmmm, just looked at the free spots. Corvette has no drivers, Ferrari has Nitro/Polar, Audi has James/Colin, Dodge has Storm (me) and one other slot.

Funny guy.... Ummmm, I'm somewhat sure that I might be forced not to drive the Audi if both of the Audi drivers show up, but, hhhhmmmmm...

I said its ok because he's a dp guy, and the only way he'd drive the ferrari is if there aren't and other dp drivers

Ok, so I just tested the Viper on 495 bhp, and consistently reaching 1:46's on some fairly competitive driving. The best lap I've gotten is 1:45.820, and that was at the very limit of what I could do without cutting the start of the bus stop chicane ever so slightly and getting an invalid lap time.

Audi territory now!

Hmmm, we'll see. I'd be tempted to say leave it at 510 bhp for now, since its all well and good the Qualifying times being better than the rest, but in the real race tyre wear is definitely worse than others, especially the Ferrari, which has a definite affect.

Pulled out a 1:44.743 in the Audi R8 tuned to 475 bhp. It was so easy to do aswell, so either I'm more suited to/have a stunning tune/both for that car, 475 bhp is too much, or my tested 495 bhp for the Viper is too low. I expect the same results from the 458 Italia and the Z06 Corvette.

Everyone's thoughts on having the vette at 470 hp?

Too low. The idea is to speed up slower cars until they run similar lap times... Run the American cars at <500 hp, but, not 470. 490 might help balance it, but, even just as they were might be okay.

Please, I need to know the power of all cars for the race. And, wich drivers (GT - DP) are confirmed?
