The Siena Kart track - where is it?

I have been combing through some of the news before GT5's release, and noticed that there was this beautiful kart track in Siena that the PD team meticulously modeled and showed off at Gamescom 2010.

They even got in trouble with the city of Siena, and had to replace some of the accurately modeled flags with blank ones.

But where is it in the final game? Siena is a place that one could take their car for photomode shoots, but its far from a raceable track...

A possible already made DLC that one pays to unlock? I am curious why this is not included in the final game...

Edit: if they removed the track from the game simply due to issues with flags (which, according to news from after the 2010 Gamescom, were replaced with blank ones), and even an year later has decided not to release it in any form, then I wholeheartedly applaud KY's incredible foresight and business acumen.

Don't think anyone outside of PD would know why it's not included. Very unfortunate that it was not included.
 
i wouldnt miss it.
cause its an oval it cant be fun for to long
 
PD didn't have permission to use the flags displayed around the track (they are part of a traditional horse race. I believe the film Casino Royale contains footage from the race which they got after some protest.) As far as I knew, PD removed the offending flags and the track was still in the game. Alas it wasn't.

Considering the short amount of time between the removal of the flags and GT5 going gold I would presume Siena Kart still exists on the game disc, but is hidden.
 
You can just create your own on the tokyo bay or eifel track creator...

That track is like a mini-daytona anyway....if you fancy that sort of thing:indiff:
 
Some purpose built kart tracks, like my old home track of Goodwood, Ontario, would be great and would revive my interest in the karts in GT5. Where are the Kart Track DLC's?...lol
 
Well, the track generated controversy because it followed the layout of some annual horse race or something. As for where it is, it's in Sienna! (Sorry about terrible and obvious pun)
