I was looking at the old screenshots and found this.

Look at the Top gear challenge it said "Challenge the Invincible Driver. THE STIG" 👍👍

I don't understand why PD took this out and gave us vw van. :scared:

or it will be unlocked at higher level?? :sick:
 
Looks like they made a lot of changes to the special events. The levels required are completely different as well as the order of them.
 
Stig got fired and Top Gear haven't decided whether to hire a new one or do something different yet, that'll be why the game was changed.
 
Clarkson said months ago the Stig will be returning, they've even filmed that whole "Stig farm" section. I don't think there was ever really any doubt, it'd be a stupid reason to remove him from the game.
 
PD have made some strange decisions.. :crazy:

They could have still included the Evo Vs. Sti race, just removed The Stig and replaced him with a generic driver. How hard would that have been?

It is indeed that. Ben is in court for christ's sake... He pulled himself out of any co-op with anything related to the stig thanx to BBC...

Ben Collins owns no rights to the name or concept, The Stig is a character fabricated and owned by Top Gear and the BBC. You'll notice Ben no longer has the job yet The Stig merchandise is still available for sale.
 
On the news today; Clarkson states that no decision has been made on whether to retain Collins as the Stig (if he wants it), or to even retain the Stig. Clarkson also states that the Top Gear team will sit down in the New Year and decide.

Strange. Top Gear Live had the Stig Farm and though I've not seen the show there was probably a Stig there. Plus Top Gear magazine did a competition and the winners were given a chance to drive the Kia C'eed and there was a Stig there and that was in October/November as its featured in this months magazine.

The first time I've seen that screencap though. I wish they had kept the Stig as it would have been miles better than the 3 races we were given instead. Maybe a Stig Challenge in GT6.
 
The Stig will undoubtedly be back... remember that Top Gear killed off Black Stig in an unfortunate aircraft-carrier-related accident?

I think White Stig will go a similar way...

Looks like you'll have to use the TG powerlap times to do your own challenge :D

...and the challenge is the '08+ STI vs the '08+ Evo race (from a real TG show) they showed in GT5 trailers.

There is even a trophy directly related to this race that is still in the game!

I'm pretty sure he'll be back. The Stig farm was really just for the tour though, of which Stig was a part, it's not a total guarantee. But that said, they do need someone to set the lap times... if not the Stig then who? Some random driver? That's not as fun, the guy could turn out to be a dick!
 
Stig has often been 'some random driver'... so it wouldn't be a problem to do that again.

Like I said, White Stig was born of Black Stig, hail a new Stig!
 
i was wondering where he went? heres a trophy for the challenge. you seem him drifting in a suburau with another driver in a EVO 10. pretty pissed actually. i mean the top gear challenges arnt really top gear challenges. except the lotus one. why i samba wagon? why a kublewaggen? why not lamborghinis(as seen in the e3 video with the TVR RM as well) i think its a joke. i was looking forward to a challenge to beat the stig

If you don't think the Samba bus challenge is a Top Gear challenge you must not have been watching very closely.

That's EXACTLY like something they would do. Just the other night the "Historic People Carrier Racing" was on.

The Kubelwaggen with the Schwimmwagen timed to cross over the figure 8 and take people out is also very Top Gear like.
 
no but what im saying is that why those cars? i mean i was expecting a beat the lap time and beat the stig. not overtake 15 vw camper vans. they were all easy challenges. i expected something harder to beat.
