Very best to you and your missis Rosen!

I have a DNS error guys so I have one more hour to make my connection to work. Nothing I tried helps. Can't get to sign in to PSN.

OK mate. keep trying. 10 mins to quali. Have you rebooted your router?

Yeah I did everything and it seems it's my cable. Switched to wireless and here we go. Signal at 80%, hope I stay connected. See you there.

Fantastic race gents, 14 starters, 14 finishers. Tyre strategy's ruled in this one, and I cant wait to view the replays tomorrow. But as usual on this time every race day, its time for the podium sitters to celebrate. Champagne time for the top 3. 👍👍👍👍

Great race all, I was really pleased with my tenth place seeing as I only drove the track in the Lotus about an hour and a half before the race! Always enjoy monza, and had some fun close racing especially in the early stages!

Especially chuffed to finish on the lead lap! :)

Brilliant race yesterday! Top notch racing all around and it was exciting right up untill the chequered flag. 👍

It was MEGA!!! I really enjoyed our little fight in the 1st twelve laps.. I really thought I'd screwed up with a 2 stopper, when I exited the pits and was over 1 minute off and in 7th place lol..

Really really pleased to get the final podium spot.. :D Again congrats to the Hoff and Robber for their podiums

Yeah it was a great race! :)

Congrats to Hass, GP and Dan!
Respect to the back field for putting a great fight! 👍👍👍

I had a bad quali and even a worst start. :yuck:

Gary wasn't pleased with this at Roggia. Sorry mate! :guilty:
This was a warning and a wake up call for me. After I got my bearing it was all good and I was able to finish in front of my close rivals in the championship.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_1.jpg

I am now one point behind Third. It's always a thrill to race you and I'm looking forward to a great fight at Suzuka.

When I was about to pit I had some problems.
First I was losing a lot of time fighting with jammy, who was very determined to stay in front.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_5.jpg

I tried everything but I couldn't get away. :)

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_4.jpg

With Gary closing in from behind it was best to pit two laps earlier than planed.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_6.jpg

But my pit didn't went very well. Hasslemoff was released too early and I was punished by the game. I was put back to pit entry and I lost 5 seconds. Good thing in all this, as I now realize, is that in some cases people couldn't change their tyres and had to make another stop.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_7.jpg

Trouble for me wasn't over yet. I had to make some time so I was pushing. Not too hard because of the one stop strategy but all the same after the Ascari Chicane I went over the sand run off area and had to battle it out with socal.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_8.jpg

At that time socal was in the last place so he was even more eager to get me. On lap 16 I was 14th but I managed to get in front before the first Chicane Rettifilo and get a good exit out of it to make some breathing space.
After that it was all about managing my tyres. Crossed the line in 7th place and even though I could have done it better I'm happy with my result after all troubles I had.

Most of all I'm happy that I figured out what caused my connection to fail and just in time to be part of this great race.

Very nice report and pics Goodwolf 👍 I remember you were not far behind me in the final stint and I was pushing like crazy to try and catch the guys ahead.

Great race report and pics Goodwolf. 👍👍👍 I will be doing the championship tables tonight and having a view of the replay.

Yeah, my best during practice for my setup was 19.5. I noticed you too and I knew if I stay close to you I'll get away from Third for sure. My one stop strategy didn't allow me to follow you all the way and it's a good thing I didn't go crazy. :)

I can give that compliment right back at you :)

Off to a short written report from me:

Qualified on the softs with a descent time of 1:51.6xx. I got off to an awesome start and was in 5th right behind Ade coming out of the first chicane. I hit the brakepoint a bit late into roggia and was on the race line, going for the inside of Ade. Without anyone there I would have had a great exit, but as fate had it Ade was coming across and I hit him quite bad on the rear left, turning him around. As sportsmanship dictates, I let him retake the position, but it threw us both into the last two spots. With Ade being on the hards it gave me a good target to chase for good laptimes, but Ade had an easier time overtaking the guys ahead than me. Lap two or three I caucht up to socal, who had a bad exit out of Rettifilo. I managed to get the inside of him on curva grande, It seemed he didnt see me since i got pushed onto the grass. The dirty tyres gave me a massive understeer once I was back on the tarmac, which drove me to the outside. I assume socal was still somewhere to my left and I might have pushed him far because of it. Sorry for that. The pace on the softs wasn't quite where I wanted it to be with only very low 52s. Pit stop as planned on lap 8, what was not planned was the tyre selection window popping up late just as my car stopped. Selecting the hards seemed to take ages, a miss-click didn't help much and I lost a felt 4-5sec until the crew finally could get to work.

The second stint was full of position fights. While they where fun, the pace suffered greatly. People had earlier braking points than me and I had to concede a position every now and then I gained through a rough tap. Instead of the planned sub 50 lap times these fights forced me into mid 55s. The pace seemed lost for the stint even after I broke free of the battles, only doing mid 50s on the end of my second stint. The times seemed to be enough to catch up to the next group of Fuel, Dowlin and the Captain. Dowlin Captain and me all decided to do a second stop around lap 20. I seemed to have gained most from it, coming out of pits with a clear track ahead and no disturbance from behind. I finally managed the pace I wanted, doing 49.6xx lap times, trying hard to catch up to goodwolf. I could see a car ahead coming closer every lap. Sadly it wans't goodwolf, but it was a great motivation given to me by GC. On the final lap I still had the hope to catch a one-stopper going wide into the final turns and I managed to bang out a 1:49.2xx . Fastest Race lap gives me a small satisfaction to a race that could have gone much better than 8th.

Cool race reports Goodwolf and Third.
Just shows that there is action all through the pack. Love the Sunday Cup!

This happened to me both times too :yuck:

Great reports guys.

One thing i've learnt from this track is the last few pit boxes are a nightmare, it took about 5 seconds after I was in the box for the menu to pop to change tyres, in the keffule I even put fuel in, I didnt even see you Goodwolf when it released me.

Great race again had fun, even if it was a lonely race, the traffic fell well for me, had Gary's slipstream when I was on the softs for a few laps which got my soft times into low 51s and even a 50.7 and when I was on hards I passed Jammy who was on the softs and Cobani who had just come out of the pits with soft tyres for the lead, so had a nice steady pace to keep the tyres fresh :)

Well that was the penultimate race of S3. I have viewed the replay to gather the data for the results. Some spectacular racing all the way through this race, with an epic finale.

My race looked like it had a promising start, with 5th position on the grid qualifying on the RH tyre with a low 1:50. T1 and most got through, with the exception of Hancock and Dowlin which gifted me 4th position I maintained my place coming into Roggia, and as Third has explained, we had some contact, and I took a trip into the sand. Third did wait for me to retake my position after Lesmos 1. 👍 By lap 8 I had driven so hard and worked my way back up to 6th place. By the time I pitted at the end of lap 12, I was into 4th again. When I rejoined after changing boots to the SS I was back down to 12th, and spent the next 7 laps chasing GC Gary, who was still on the RH. I pitted again at the end of lap 21, and rejoined in last place. I pushed and pushed to catch up, and caught up with Jammy, and had a good few laps battling with him, until I went in too deep at Parabolica. I got back on track, and again pushed hard, and then disaster....I had to stand up and walk as all the hard pedal pushing had given me severe cramp in my right leg and foot. I parked up after Roggia, and after a couple of laps of my living room, sat back down. As the front runners were aproaching, I waited for them to pass, and then continued for the final 2 laps.

Anyway, onto the results. As Fuelmyfire joined as a guest, there will be no points awarded for his position, and every racer who finished below Fuel will receive an additional point for their position. I think that is the fairest way to allocate the points for this race, as the championship is this far through.

Nice job with the graphics again Ade 👍 Suzuka is going to be epic!! :D

I think it will mate. With only 5 points between the top 3, its gonna be right to the wire.

Hi guys, I thought some of you would like to see this car from an earlier season of SC.

Me and my son (Yes he bought the white GT86 for those of you who saw it in Omnius' thread) was on a trackday this Sunday and during the registration this beauty parked next to us. I believe it's a 111R '04.

I could swear someone had this color in our races, anyone?

Anyway, nice to see you are having a good championshipfight this season. 👍

It seems like I missed a good racing day at Monza! It is very interesting to read the reports and look at the pictures after the races. And of course to see the splendid results tables provided by Ade! 👍👍

I had another kind of race Sunday night...or I can say that I was the co-driver. :scared:

If I was as good as Mrs Rosen to give birth as beeing a driver I surely been no 1 every season! :D ;)

Around when the race was over, at 22.30 BST? a boy was born! We have two girls since before so now the gender balance is more equilibrated - at least according to the numbers...

Now to Suzuka!

It looks like I wont be able to make the grand finale as i'll be away that weekend. Just wanted to say thanks for letting me join you guys, every race I have had has been epic!👍 Hopefully will get back on track with you all in the future:)

Rosen thats awesome news. Congratulations to you and your family. Dont forget, Adrian's a great name:sly:

Great to hear from you mate. Nice pics of the 111R. I had a look back through the albums, and happysylvia was the closest colour match to this one. Could you be tempted back for Suzuka????

Thats a shame you will miss the grand finale, but have a great trip mate. I am glad you enjoyed your Sunday Cup experience, and hope you will be back for S4.👍👍👍

Now for some pics of Sundays race. At the moment I have only captured some shots from my first stint on the RH, so this may turn into a 3 part album if I get time.

The sun shins down on a busy grid for race#7

Into T1, and Hancock takes avoiding action after going in too fast.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_2-1_zps16e0b1b1.jpg

T1 also collects Dowlin, as the rest of the pack get through.

First time into Roggia, and all looks well...

Until.....A missed braking point

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_5-1_zps6d4695a5.jpg

A bit of a melee ensued, forming a new pack at the back.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_6-1_zps780ad537.jpg

In true Sunday Cup, Gentleman driving style, Third waits for me to pass through Lesmos.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_7-1_zps44e2fa2d.jpg

The chase was then on to catch back through the pack. First up was Goodwolf.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_8-1_zps4cec1994.jpg

Then a slipstream battle with GC coming out of Parabolica onto the main straight.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_10-1_zpsb50d2d43.jpg

It was real close coming onto the straight.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_11_zps2660a357.jpg

But I managed to get ahead of Socal aswell by T1.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_12_zpse3818ca2.jpg

A few laps later I had caught up to the second pack of drivers who were on the SS tyre.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_13_zpsc9e71a1f.jpg

Coming out of Roggia, I had got past Dowlin and Grand_Prix, and had Jammy in my sights.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_14_zps3a4b6701.jpg

Jammy goes wide through Lesmos 2 and gifts me the place.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_15_zpsf354aa81.jpg

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_16_zps6741a954.jpg

Fuelmyfire was next, and I made my move after Askari. I had worked my way back through some of the pack, but knew that most were on the SS tyre, and I was on the RH, and I would probably pay for it later

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_17_zps58a1e47f.jpg

By the end of my first stint I caught Capt.Ds slip, and there was a slight contact through turn 1. I waited before resuming racing.

More pics to follow during the week.👍👍👍

Rosen, fantastic news from the far north! Best wishes to you and your family. 👍

Cobrius, nice to see you again. :)

Hancoclc, shame you have to miss the final race, loved racing you!

Ade, great race report mate! :sly:

Dan, be prepared, I'm gunning for victory. :trouble:

Gary's ...

;)

Well, on the same day we have learnt that GT6 is coming to the PS3 this year, I also made a trip to the post office today to pick up a very special package. GC Gary's extra special SC3 patches have arrived, and in the run up to the final race of this season I can present to you the full selection of prizes. Described in The Weekly rewind as "Serious Swag", here they are,(with the exception of the championship winners wall print)

Gary told me the patches looked even better in the flesh, and he was right. They are awesome.
