I'm glad you enjoyed the evening. Some disconnects didn't help some people's races, I might need to change some lounge settings as I believe they are set to standard or higher (it's been a while since I was in there). It would seem that the GT86 and perhaps the Elise aren't as class dominating as was first thought. One thing that was confirmed is "The S2000 is slow", looks like I may have to retire my car and look at a wankel rotary :sly:. Either that or she's just not had a track that she excels on :indifferent:

Third_reign's podium gives him choice of next track. Which I will propose a provisional date of,
Saturday 27th July,
If that is OK with everyone.

I might have to think about creating my own thread
Thanks Ade 👍 for all the assistance.

It's been a few weeks since Spa Sunday Cup 30th race and it has gotten quite quiet in here

Mega Gary. I had nearly managed to put that race behind me, haha. Love the Yoda comment, "The road ahead, clouded it is". Its great to see the race in pictures from so many drivers point of view. Good work mate. 👍👍

Other news, you wont have to wait too much longer for some more SCR news. Full car and event specs will be posted this week.

Great pics CTR. Sorry I missed your 500PP race!! :-(

Thank you, don't worry about having missed it. I imagine it would be somewhat more difficult with the time difference.

Ok racers, as promised here is some more information regarding the upcoming Sunday Cup Reloaded.

As it will be an interim series, it will not be a full championship. I have tried to remember suggetions from members and tried to use as many as I could see would work.

Reloaded will start on August the 11th and run every 2 weeks. We will be using the cars from previous SC seasons in their final respective specifications (No upgrading required). It will be split into two mini tournaments. SC1 Reloaded and SC2 Reloaded, each conisting of 3 race meetings. Each race meeting will consist of 2 heats, one sprint event with no pit stop lasting approx 15 minutes on sports soft tyres, with the second race requiring the usual pit stop/tyre change, and lasting approx 45 minutes. (I think this was Third's suggestion.) We will use reverse grid from the first race, so the winner of race 1 will have 45 minutes to prove his metal and get as far through the field to maximize points each meeting.

The circuits we will race on will not have been used before for their respective cars, and there will be the inclusion of city tracks, short race tracks, and custom tracks.

More details regarding venues, laps etc will come out before the end of the month.

Full specs for the cars can be found on the graphics below.

Great pics of Spa in the rain Gary. 👍

Looking forward to the start of "Reloaded" Ade, nice one.

Do you agree with my statement "your car looks good here"?

On another note, I went car shopping last night. and got busy with My camera

Great pic Gary, you will get the chance to try out the S1 when the first practice sessions start. 👍👍

Hello guys i am intrested in this SRC :)

Welcome to The Sunday Cup. Please send a FR to Ade3210. More info will be posted during the coming weeks. 👍👍

Just making sure, these are the final specs used during the seasons for each car?

The 111R would be interesting to try on the RH compounds. For the '96 it was too much grip, might seem right for the 111R.

Yes Third, final specs it is. I too thought that the RH tyre was a little too grippy on the 96 Elise, and also wanted to use the tyre change/pit stop rule, so changed it to SS/SM. In my short tests that I have done so far, both cars work well at the tracks I have tried with these tyres.

Hello guys i am intrested in this SRC :)

FR accepted. I should get the race venues and laps up this week. First practices will be held the weekend after the Academy ends. I had a look at your time on the Academy time trial. Seems we have another alien. :scared::sly:

My Time will remain anonymous lol.. :) i am not used to abs1 racing it is something i want to try an i like the cars/car an the fact it has a little break each week which i like sound off not that i struggle to commit its more that i do alot an its nice to have a night off.. i cant improve on my time in the academy, i badly sprained or broke a bone in my foot, shame i could maybe improved half a second going by my theoretical best but thats life.. :) always next year..

I wont post your time on here as you have requested it to be anon, but it is very fast. Third, you only need to find nearly a second and three quarters. Looking forward to getting some laps in with you Mr Mcbride. 👍👍👍

Yeah i look forward to testing these when i get back to 100% :) hopefully couple of days but i dont want to stress it too much.. i have alot of cars to run in.. this will help regain track time :)

Gary, what about next weekend?

Funny you should say that

Next 500pp race is at
Nurburgring gp/f
Saturday 27th July,
Lounge will be open around 20.00 for free practice, qualifying starts around 20.30 with a timer of 15 mins.
I've yet to run some laps to get the amount but expect it to be 40-45 mins worth, depending on your speed.
I will send out PM's to those that have previously attended or expressed an interest in participating over the next couple of days.

What are people's feelings on the reverse grid that has been used in the last 2 races? I see the benefits in that it gives the fastest drivers some traffic, but it's easy to get around to be on pole and have a lead from the get go. I won't be changing this for the upcoming race, but I would like to know people's thoughts.

And in a slight change of format. The winner of this race will get to pick one of three tuning prohibited races. These are;
Group C at circuit de la sarthe on RH with weather and time progression.
Ferrari F40 at Grand valley Speedway on SS.
And
Hot Hatch Hooning track tba (thinking TGTT) tyres CS

Haha I was just kidding man ^^.

I know, but the reason I drive a slower car is twofold, to give those that aren't so quick some competition and to test my tuning and driving ability to the maximum.

The "slower" cars I want to drive sadly all have too much displacement. I would love to bust out the 370Z, and a few BMWs like the Z4 M Coupe, 135i etc.

I might give Lady Silvia a spin this time around. Much slower than my rotary favorites. Trouble is that GT Academy is currently consuming all my time I could spend in getting a nice tune for it. Still need to dive down into the 2:18 region at Silverstone!
