First practice is next Sunday, so I will PM everyone this weekend to see how many are up for it. There may well be places.

I'm looking forward to the First Official Pre-Season Testing Session, so I'll be there. 👍

Haven't had a chance to drive Elise through Eau Rouge again, so my time of 2.35 stands, but I'm sure that during the evening the true pace of the opening race will be revealed.

Thats ok RBL, but I have to give first reserve to COOPER500SPORT, as he is the 1st reserve driver. DUNDER now moves up to 1st reserve.

The OP and blog have been updated with the changes to the grid, COOPER500SPORT comes off the reserve list and onto the grid for the start of the season, and DUNDERMUFFIN666 moves up to 1st reserve, with RBL 2nd. Dont forget, only 1 week to go until the 1st practice, so please let me know if you will be there and I will add you to the list. DUNDERMUFFIN666, I know you are a reserve, but you are more than welcome to attend next weeks practice session.👍

Update on a little private test: down to a 2:33.xxx

Only way to improve is to become a Tuning Wizard, which I am not.

2:33s are very respectable, Jamesy is managing 32s, so thats not far off his pace.

This Sunday at 8.00pm GMT is the first official practice before next Sundays first race in the Sunday Cup.

Dont forget:​

Car regs:

Lotus Elise 96
Oil change
Race modifed
High Rpm Turbo
Racing hard tyres
167 BHP using the power limiter
Nothing else whatsoever

Practice regs:

8.00pm GMT 20 minute warm up.
8.20pm GMT 3 lap race.

This is not a race to win.

At the start everyone will set off from the grid at 10 second intervals.
You then have 3 laps to get your fastest times.​

just did a mock race to test tyres and times.

race time, 41:48.006 (including the pit stop)
average lap time, 2:36.75
best lap, 2:32.579

tyres hold up very well and only used less than half a tank of fuel.👍

looking forward to the practise race (check the competition )

I think that the practice will be a good taster for next weeks 1st race. I still cant get into the 32s, with a 33.8 being my best lap yet. It will be interesting to see what times we get from tomorrow.

I can't go below 35 but I just started practicing. I'll start early tomorrow to improve, if not I'll try and get maximum out of my strategy.

Its looking like Jamesy will be in a race on his own, with the mid field hitting the same sort of times, so strategy will play a big part in this I think.

Thats no problem, thanks for letting me know. Keep an eye on this thread as I will be posting the results from tonights practice on here, and on the blog. That should give you an idea of times to aim for when you practice.
