Yeah, great practice session. 7 of us raced both tyre compounds. As this is the last race of S2 the results from tonights practice will remain a secret. Ha ha.

Before tomorrows race I would like to thank every one of you for taking part in The Sunday Cup. Every 2 weeks you have turned up for practice, and the race. You have all shown true sportsmanship and made this series a real pleasure to organize. I hope you all come back for S3, but for now, good luck gentlemen for tomorrows last race of S2.

I like secrets ...
You can tell me, I can keep a secret! :ouch:

Race day again. Spa awaits as we head into the last race of S2. Cobani has a 10 point lead over Dan, and Dan has 5 points over Goodwolf, so there is a lot of pressure for the top 3 in this final race. I will open the room at 7.30 again, with the normal time schedule for qualifying and the race. See you all on the track.

Bad news on my side as something came up last minute. I won't be able to make it tonight. Too bad my attendance was lacking a lot this season.

That being said, I wish you all good luck and I'm eagerly awaiting details on S3. Hopefully I'll be able to attend all races then!

There's a bug in my browser(the word not wont show), This should read:
You can not tell me, I can not keep a secret! :)

Anyway since the season is almost over I would like to thank Ade for setting it all up and beeing a very good host. 👍

My driving this season has really been bad(there, I said it myself) but I've enjoyed a few laps here and there and the car is great(would perhaps be even greater if I had it tuned right). :ouch:

Thanks for letting me know Third and Hassle, you will both be missed. Thanks for the kind words Cobrius, If third had of been at practice last night he would have learnt a bit about S3, as highlighted in red from your post. haha

What a fantastic race.. Congratulations to Jim for the Win, and Cobani for winning the championship. A worthy winner indeed. I guess I have to be happy to finish 2nd.. Next time I wont miss the 1st race :trouble: :D

I managed to catch Jim in the last lap, but overcooked it in T2 and had a massive tank slapper which then allowed him to just bring it home with me finishing 2.5 seconds later and Cobani in 3rd completing the podium 👍👍👍 Massive thanks to Ade for organising all the races.
I'm looking forward to next season 👍

Well Sunday Cuppers, that was the climax to season 2. I hope you all enjoyed the racing as much as me. Congratulations to the podium. As always I will post all the final results tomorrow, and dont forget to check back through the week to see the reveal of the S3 car. (or just ask Cobani):lol:

For the last time this season, its champagne time.👍👍👍:gtpflag::gtpflag:

Thanks Dan for the kind words and great racing all season.

Ade, as said in the lounge. You're the best! 👍

And to all Sunday Cup racers, it is a privilege to race among drivers such as yourselfs.

And now for a little secret ...:)

And there we were thinking Dan was the alien ...:odd:

Yep awesome racing guys, i enjoyed it! I'm happy with most wins, poles and fastest laps! Heheheheh. :)

And thanks to ade for such a great series, it's been fun! Hopefully in S3 i will actually make all the races. A shame i missed 3 races in S2, sometimes you just can't make the races. Anyway, Well done to cobani for being a great winner! :) 👍

You are right there, as I am missing Rosenlundaren, who was right between Dowlin and Cobrius!

Well it doesnt seem like 15 weeks of racing have passed, but they have. When I decided to do S2, I knew I would have a hard job to match S1, but with everyones superb racing and sportsmanship, WE made this just as good. The points system shows that to win the championship, you cannot afford to miss a race, and with Dan just 1 race shy of the 8 we had, the gap in points was only 9 come the end of last night. Once again, thank you all for joining me is The Sunday Cup.

Last night things started a bit ropey connection wise with Goodwolf having troubles staying in the room. Before the race started I was only seeing 11 cars, but once we got under way there were 12. Watching the replay explained this, with Goodwolf starting in 12th place, and not moving off the grid. Then all of a sudden shooting forward, spinning, going backwards, crashing into barriers at about 300mph. This continued for 2 laps, then sorted itself out, However his position was always displayed as 11th on my screen. I am just pleased it sorted itself and Goodwolf had a strong race.

My race was intense, and I spent the entire 22 laps of Spa just behind Socal. We had some epic duels all the way through with Dowlin just ahead of us. Then on the last lap Cobrius appeared up in front of us, and Socal was caught out by this. I made my pass and got in front, only for Socal to retake the position at Bus Stop Chicane. I finished 0.3 seconds behind Socal. Mental.

Now to the final results of The Sunday Cup S2...............

COBANI, you are the winner, and 2 times Champion of The Sunday Cup.

:gtpflag::gtpflag::gtpflag::gtpflag: :cheers: :gtpflag::gtpflag::gtpflag::gtpflag:

Congratultions to KOR_HELLRAZOR and GOODWOLF for finishing 2nd and 3rd.

One more thing. This was posted on twitter today. Just a coincidence that this is Called The Gran Turismo Expo the day after SC2 finished. There maybe a clue in this to the next SC car.:sly::sly:

Thank you everybody for this season! :)

And a special thanks to Ade, your hard work with this has made me longing for Sunday evenings! :)

So Season 2 has finished... I'm a little disappointed with 7th Overall but that is entirely my fault after missing the first two races of the season. But I am pleased I gave a quick consistent showing for the races I did attend.

The whole season was a great experience racing with all of the newcomers and older racers alike and It was all extremely competitive, in a good way 👍 That is why I finished 7th. If you plan on finishing high up in the standings, you need to attend every week because you will just get left behind and I'm not saying that it's a chore to be here every Sunday, quite the opposite.

Jim and Dan both found out what it means to attend every race as they lost plenty of points to other drivers in this fantastic, competitive and well-balenced series. Congratulations to Cobani on his successful title defence and to Ade for a brilliant second Season. Hope to see you all there for Season 3 👍

I have here a selection of pictures from the last race, but first a picture and video of the race start from Goodwolfs point of view. World Wide Web issues caused the first 2 laps of Goodwolfs race to run very strangely. The picture shows the top speed he reached in under 1 second when he finally left the grid. Fortunately this bizarre phenomena only lasted for 2 laps, then normal service was resumed.

365mph.png

The video is 1 minute of Goodwolfs 1st lap and finishes with him reaching 320mph out of eau rouge...

Now to the race pics, with an extra special pic right at the end.:sly:

Now what you have all been waiting for. Here is The Sunday Cup S3 car. 👍👍👍

BANNER-1.png

We can't race mod the Evora in the game as we have done in both previous Sunday Cups, so we will do it ourselves as the season progresses. But we wont be starting with the standard Evora in the game. We will begin with a car I have developed to replicate the real life Evora S.

http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/car/?car=221199

With more emphasis on the upgrades in S3 we will finish the season with specs identical to the Evora GX race car.

More details to follow during the week.👍👍👍

Ade what you have there is the world speed record in a video game. Unfortunately I didn't brake the real land speed record because the rocket fuel in the boot was to much for such a small car and I went into a spin which was a no no after all the testing. But still Felix Baumgartner eat your heart out.
