i finished behind third reign in the race because of my lack of concentration. slammed into finishers on their cool down lap and totally lost concentration when someone started talking to me at the house!!:banghead:

Haven't you heard.. We are extending it to 9 races :sly:

Bring it on! I've been there before Dan (only one point then). I'll defend my championship lead with honor and respect ... and with style! :trouble:

So glad I beat you in the first two races you attended, otherwise the feeling would have been different. 👍 ;)

Let's make Spa a race to remember!

I also happen to know that Ade loves this kind of build up to a race! 👍

Cheers!

Your right there. A bit of harmless banter before the race all adds to the build up. Especially the final race 👍

Yes he does.

Great work Ade, your really making this season one to remember. Honestly I didn't expect it will be much better than the last one but you and all other Gentleman racers bought me and I'll sign up for the next one. 👍👍👍

As for the race I can say thanks to all for a very clean race and congrats. Respect. 👍👍👍

I qualified on soft tyres and just tried to stay on the track. I ran into some trouble before the tunnel and Cobani got in front. I tried to get the position back. I had one chance but there wasn't much room to pass in T1 so I backed off. We were at the same pace so I knew if I attack I'll lose my tyres and maybe a podium finish. At the end it worked great for me because I was only 9 laps on option tyre and could control the gap between Dowlin and myself on fresh tyres.

Thanks Goodwolf 👍 This season has worked very well for you. I remember you mentioning to me about having #4 as your racing number, as that was where you finished in season 1. So another strong performance in this last race may see you change your number again for S3. 👍👍👍

VOTE RESULTS.

The vote for the amount of Sunday Cup races has closed. The voting was close, with 5 choosing the 8 races, and 6 going for 10. However as iceandspice (airieracer) has not raced with us this season yet, his vote will not count. (sorry airie, but I feel that I have to let the drivers who have been racing since the beginning make their choice). So its a draw. This tell me that you all enjoyed 8 races, with some wanting a couple more. It also tell me that some of you may think that 10 races would be too many. As I would like everyone to return for S3 , my decision is to stick with the current formula of 8 races.

......voted 10....:D....

Yes ade, thanks for a great season, shame i missed 3 races! Bah, i would have been up there if it wasn't that case, still. Getting pole and fastest lap in all my races is what i hoped for. :) S3 is gonna be awesome!

Going to have to try and make it this sunday if theres room, hopefully the hangover will have gone, getting to old for weekend sessions.

My weekend sessions ended years ago! I know what you mean!

I prefer a nice lunchtime/afternoon session now....back home in time for tea :D

Pipe & slippers at the ready

On a side note, there's defiantly a wide range of ages between all us S2'ers. I mean i'm 18, am i the youngest in S2? :)

It's good having people from different countries and ages, you gotta love the internet. :)

And on another side note, at spa, it's on...

You probably are Jim, and I am probably on the other end of the scale at 41.

Yeah, I am well happy with the mix of nationality's, gives SC an international feel.

Ha ha, more pre race banter.....Bring it on.....Like Donkey Kong.

There are plans to do a couple of Sunday Cup Special races between the end of this season, and the start of S3. ( A bit like The Jubilee special, and the other warm up race before S2 ) One or both of them will be endurance, probably the same as Core at about and hour and a half, maybe 2 hours. We will do these races in the new Sunday Cup car :sly: .

Also, as I have increased the amount of laps for these last 2 SC2 races to make tyre strategy's work better with the new updated tyre physics, I will be sticking with these extended races in S3. So the races will be around the 50/55 minute mark. I would like to stick to that in the championship, as it gives a structured start/finish time, and I need to do that so that I can get up for work on the Monday morning:grumpy:. (Also I normally only have about a 2 to 2.5 hour PS3 window on Sunday evenings) The Endurance specials would therefore start a bit earlier than usual.

Hello all, Really sorry I haven't been active at all in a long time. Main reason is my TV is still not fixed (should be by this week) and have only been playing on a small 17' TV, which is for sure not what I would like to use for GT5. I can't promise I will be there for the last race, but I will see all of you Season 3, racing a full schedule!

Had another half day, so had some time to do a picture review of Sundays race.
