Me, I'm a European kind of guy. When I play a GT game, I like to jump behind the wheel of a Maserati rather than a Mitsubishi. I like to drive a Lotus at Trial Mountain rather than at Laguna Seca. But if previous experience has taught me anything, it's that there are hidden gems rife throughout the game, a combination of car and circuit that you wouldn't normally expect could be so fun, but as soon as you get behind the wheel, you wonder why you never considered it in the first place. In GT4, I had a blast in the Dodge Viper at Suzuka. And throwing the the Lancia Stratos around Apricot Hill was a similar brand of fun.
The purpose of this thread is to recommend car and circuit combinations to other users, combinations that they wouldn't normally try their hand at, but which turn out to be a great drive. So if someone is getting frustrated doing the Lotus challenge on the Top Gear Test Track, they can come in this thread and find a combination, fire it up and blow some steam off as they have some fun. For example, looking at the car list, I think driving the Ferrari 330 P4 Race Car on Cape Ring could be a lot of fun. Or the Pagani Zonda C12S at Daytona Road. Or even the Shelby Cobra 427 on Eiger Nordward (tarmac).
So, share away: your favourite combination of car and circuit, and maybe we'll stumble upon the drive that everyone who owns GT5 should try.
