I saw that image a few minutes after I uploaded this one to the gallery:

There have been updates that are related to just GTP (such as the forum hitting 5 million posts). But I highly doubt it would ever get on the front page.

I've been thinking about the possibility of GTP Bronies being featured in the news section, but alas, I can't see this happening.

Update. Linework finished.

So I made a pony. Using a pencil and tempera paints. Why? It would be much easier using a pony creator. The answer is I'm an idiot.

Those have so much awesomesauce I could sell it at 1 cent/gallon and still make myself zillions. 👍

Turns out my Mom's Verizon Air Card works pretty well here. Last year it could barely get any signal, and even that was unreliable.

Also, Apokalipse, I think drawing it by hand just makes it look more unique, anyone could have just thrown together a random pony and edited a GTP Logo on it, but you drew it by hand.

Granted, it took me 3 different times downloading it from TV Tropes to remember to actually put it in the gallery, so whatever.





Noticed something hilariously hypocritical today:

With that in mind, it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to understand why I'm wary of leaving that category there. And I'm probably going to remove it anyways.
Partly because I generally loathe straight shipping fics anyways, but more importantly because all of the fics that I've read with shipping elements that I would suggest others read merely use it as a means to an end, so they generally fit more as dramas or comedies then genuine shipping (for example, The Ballad of Twilight Sparkle uses shipping undertones almost entirely as a means to create humor rather than serious plot advancement, the Psychological Pony Series uses shipping undertones simply to build drama between certain characters more than others, and A Twilight and Trixie Story uses blatant shipping purely as a means for parody).

Then, yesterday:

Edit: Oh yeah, and I put the Shipping category back in the recommendation list, purely because I finally read a ship fic that was good enough that I'm not embarrassed to recommend it.

Then I look at all the stuff I fiddled with today, and I note that I already have put four fics in that category. Its stuff like that that makes me feel like I'm an idiot.

RD's wings in the concept art look badass....they're great in the show, but I've always thought they would look better if they were longer.
And Pinkie as a Pegasus....that is a deeply frightening thought. There would be no escape...parties....FOREVER!

I prefer everything about the G4 ponies over that concept art other than the wings. But they both still look great.

Thanks, guys. I plan on adding a pic of Dash in the space suit, less helmet...not sure if the whole thing will get the color pencil treatment, but...well...it may by the end of the week.

EQSF stands for Equestrian Space Force, which I imagine would have evolved from elements of an Air Force and Navy. I feel they'd at least have a true, standing Army, especially as powerful (literally and politically,) as Celestia is. Again, though, this is all speculation and fanfiction. I doubt that, unless one of the ponies is sent through a parody of boot camp, we'll see a whole lot.

The Royal Guard, I think, would be their own branch of the military entirely, with the best soldiers pulled from different branches specifically for the protection of Their Royal Highnesses, and the defense of Canterlot itsself.

(on an unrelated note, any aircraft in the Equestrian civil register (and I've imagined airplanes powered by pegasi,) would have an EQ-*** tail number.)

I know a lot of people will not like what I'm about to say but: I think pinkie pie works better as pegasus,and I think that Pinkie pie and Fluttershy should change places ( I'm also aware of the development for each character ),but it has to be said that Fluttershy fits best as a "normal" pony,and pinkie pie character fits best as a pegasus due to her personality.

Apart from that,I'm pleased with the final considerations for colouring,it could be an animation thing but the colours fits perfectly and they create a perfect aesthetic for the ponies(I just wish that the toys follow that same aesthetics).

That crossed my mind as well, specifically what you said about Fluttershy and how she fits best as a normal 'Earth Pony', but I'm not sure about Pinkie Pie being a Pegasus Pony. To me, that just doesn't seem right for some reason.

That's actually pretty cool, plus I noticed that this phenomenon occurred just 30 miles away from where MLP:FiM is animated at Studio B Productions in Vancouver.

One hard work montage later, and I'm almost completely caught up with the fan fic list. Just need to write synopses/reasons for suggestion for 6 more stories and I'm all done.

At least, until I read another 10 stories and throw them up on the list without writing synopses for them. Its a vicious cycle.

But about what you said in that edit; you do know this is still intended to be a kid's show, right? I think a bloody patch over a wound would be a little much for the HUB.

Oh God, what have I awoken... I really don't want to know.

It all started when I saw a pic, way back when the topic wasn't this huge or... intellectual I guess. It was a DAT ASS pic and I swear the mark looked like what I described. And Mintberry in retrospective you're definitely right but I don't know much about the show. Back when this brony thing was just starting here at GTP I watched the first episode but only 'til minute 13.

I know flash animation and I can appreciate the insanely smooth and well done animation, also the cuteness of both the ponies and voices, but in the end it is a kids cartoon for me. What I do like (and the reason I lurk here sometimes) are the memes and reaction pics.

No disrespect or anything to all you fine bronies here at GTP. 👍

@Toro: Listened to it for the majority of the 2 1/2 hour drive up to where I'm staying for the next 2 weeks.
Forgot to mention, but it's also the most repeated on my phone....by a very wide margin. The next highest is "Forbidden Friendship" from the How to Train Your Dragon OST, and that's a relatively old one that I still love.




Also, I love that FireFox theme. I just love Chrome too much to go back to FF.
