Even though Forza painting was SO 15 pages ago, I finished the cutie marks of all the mane six + Derpy. There on my Storefront for free if anyone wants them. I also have RD and Fluttershy's chicken for free as well.

And Gummy is awesome.

Cool, I'm probably going to get back into the Forza thing and finish the Mane 6. I just took a break to work on this PMV, and Vegas is buggy as hell and I'm still having trouble finding filler stuff for the solos even when I can get it working right.
The main reason I wanted to do this was because I wanted a chance to make a PMV involving something like Sweet Child 'O Mine or Paradise City, but after spending hours and only getting 15 seconds through either one I'm just going to stop with those and go back to Forza.

That'll probably be Sunday though, because tomorrow I'll probably be playing GT5 most of the day.

And yes, Gummy is awesome, he's my favorite non-pony thing in the entire show.

Apart from that I read The Party Never Ended to see what the hay was all that fuss about,personally its just a pretty normal fanfic,quite good but not 6 starts material,apart from the "bombshell" at the last EP(13 not the epilogue),which shows the authors origins.

Which brings me to the whole topic of "shipping",which must be stopped,is pure fan-service,and it shadows plenty of good stuff that can come out from the authors,here is something I read from the same author (ButterScotchSundae):

I felt the same way when I re-watched it.
The second time through I'd already removed all doubt in my head that this was a great show, so I could focus on the show itself instead of wondering why I like it so much.



Anyway, I've got to go to work now, I'll be back in time for that race, though.

What happened at the end of part 13 (shipping to the max) isn't the sort of thing that I like to see when reading these fanfics, but that doesn't detract from the rest of the story in my opinion. I still think that The Party Never Ended is one of the best MLP fanfics I've read so far.

The last chapter does delve out of my comfort zone for these sort of things (lol irony), but even that is well-written when examined in the same way as the rest of the story. If that scene was excised The Party Never Ended would be Top 3. Even with it is in the Top 5.

All fan fiction is pure fan service. Even the most well-written and fantastic fan stories are wish-fulfillment by their inherent design, and stuff like slash and shipping stories are the things that started fan fiction as a whole all those years ago.

I've only just finished reading it after nearly 2 hours. I know it was a short story, but I kept drifting in and out due to my lack of interest, thus the reason why it took me so long to finish. I don't doubt that it's well written, but as you've said, it reads like someone who's writing out of their comfort zone. I don't rate it that highly to be honest, I thought it was decidedly meh overall.

Also, depending on how long it takes me to get to Best Buy and get a new Stereo for my car, I might not make the second race. I'll head out as soon as the first races are done and try to be back in time for the second race.
I'll see about borrowing my mom's Camaro so I can move a little quicker(not that I would ever speed, of course). Not to mention listening to Gimme RD from the Boston HD Audio is so badass.
