Non of the Mane 6 are guys. You can't exactly mistake them for being anything other than mares either, and yes there are some male ponies that appear in the show. It's just that the Equestrian population seems to be predominantly female.

And how much MLP have you actually watched so far?

Not very much. About...maybe four episodes. I catch it whenever it's on the Hub which is usually in the mornings.

No, the entire Mane 6 are female. And the only stallions with names I can think of at the moment would be Soarin', Big Mac, Braeburn, Thunderlane, Time Turner (Dr. Whooves), Mr. Cake, Fancy Pants and Shining Armor.

I think eye design is also unique among males. A Stallion iris has a gradual colour change between 2 colour shades, whereas mares have a staged colour change that gets lighter, before turning darker further towards the bottom of the eye (Trixie is an exception to this, as she has the same colour change that stallions have).

Nightmare Moon and Chrysalis are exempt from this as the have unique eye designs, of course.

Alright, so, I now understand why this show is so popular. The writing is awesome, the animation is good, the characters are likable and...it's actually a bit of a relief from all the other shows. It's not violent and completely family friendly, but it's not all lovey dovey, either...which...is kinda hard to do. It's kinda like a kids version of Sinfield. It's really about nothing when you get down to it, but it deals with things that kids, and adults, would enjoy, so...I understand the popularity of it. I'm not a Brony...just...a fan.

Congrats on accepting, we all came to similar realization. In a world of so much sadness it's nice to have something so innocent.
 
It's innocent but not overly innocent. It's....kinda like Clannad. It's harmless...but funny...but really about nothing at all. It's refreshing. It really is.

The dialogue and voice acting is very real and gives the characters a lot of depth which is nice.

Wow, time passes by fast, even if I wouldn't pay attention to this show until later. Also, in 2 weeks, I celebrate my first anniversary being a brony. That's one thing I'll thank Discord for. Here's to more ponies.
