Very nice cockpit you got there, Owens.
I knew somebody will make use that grey lining profile on the wheel housing. The bulky wheel housing now look slim and its really cool.

Good job!!

Small small input from me, you could make some "air vent" on each side to replicate those on the X1 :)

Nice job there Owens. I was a little perplexed by the pedal setup. With the plate and the warning sticker. Then I remembered I had remove mine when it arrived. I could not tell if it was rally or F1 set up. Also how do you adjust the hight of the wheel? Is it just fabricated to your liking?

Owens I wonder if you could take a pic of the bottom of that cockpit that shows how the T500 is mounted? Well I am just wondering did you mount it with screws, etc.

Not sure which way is which on pedals. They are upside down from the way they came. Rally maybe.

Wheel is set to height. Having a lot of time in my other set up as well paying attention in my real vehicles. I decided on this height. Very pleased.

Yes I think they are set to rally style. I aslo noticed the light was red for F1. It is green for rally. Whatever, it is a very nice setup.

In use now. Green light.

I need to peel that warning label. Got the one off the wheel last night.

Vince. We gotta get done pedal out here soon. After using it. I do like.

I was going to say something about that. But thought, well he has been busy here lately. I have the patience of a 2 yr old sometimes. Especially when it comes to new toys.:)

Biggest hold is I got one mill. Had 75oo hole job come through as well I do Stainless Steel 3d ported head flanges for a guy that does custom fabbed turbo kits on Evo's and 4g63 powered vehicles. He just got two cars to do. So gotta him some flanges. However I got a little window waiting on flange blanks to be laser cut. So in this window I plan to get a few pedals done and the adapter hubs reworked.

Where all the fun begins :)

My artistic shot of the GT franchise... Damn licensing never fails to jack up the prices LOL :D

I should get paid for this LOL!

Tried using the foot pedal plate but the angle could use some modification :indiff:

My envy for you, 360hype, knows no bounds.

LOL! Believe me, if I could build my own cockpit I would. :) Just like diptob79's and owens' those 2 rigs look awesome (and a lot more there that I failed to mention).

I had to resort to this one because it's compact and I need it like that, especially when I move out next year. I don't want to end up selling my stuff simply because I can't take them with me :)

Thanks guys 👍

I just got inducted into the broke club in 1 week... BIG time LOL! Now to start saving up for some shakers :sly:

I will admit that wood is nice. It is natural. Softer. Looks more at "home" in a living room.

However. With metal one buttkicker gamer 2 really works the unit. I get vibes in feet through pedals and floor board then stronger not by much bur stronger vibes through the seat.

I welded a post at the back most brace in the frame. This to me localized the strength to the rear. Where I sit. However being welded steel. It sends these through the entire unit.

Absolutely in love with the t500 and new set up.

Also on brake mod. I added a smaller diameter spring inside the supplied spring. It is about .25 taller bit thinner wire. So this picks up the little transition area that seemed to be like a switch. No linear. Also made a plastic cap from nylon sheet I had. Got it hot molded it around a socket similar to smaller spring. Trimmed it. Heated end of small spring pressed into cap. Now it's stuck well. Used spray graphit and coated the entire thing. Smooth as butter. Transitions like real. No crunch noise nothing.

Can do a pictorial if needed

Basically the pedal from 0-50% on the red meter on gauges it seemed the same tension. This really made it hard to trail brake. The new mod has a transition from 0-80% then the last 20 you have to give it some foot power to get to lock. Love it.

Dropped a second of Suzuka time from being able to trail brake right.

I'm looking to buy one of these. I'm selling a guitar I've been holding onto for way too long to pay for it.

Should I go for a new one or would it be worth trying to find a second hand one?

Yeah, I have been monkeying with that brake mod too. Tried packing it and adding some rubber in the middle. All was well till I started getting a squeek. After invetigation it turned out to be the hinge pin. So a tiny shot of KROIL on either side of the pin fixed that right up.

I would go NEW. Never know what you will get buying a used one. The TM warranty is A+.

Good luck on finding a used T500rs (there's none on ebay right now for example)... You might be able to find one on sale in the lower $500s or so 👍

I was about to say +1 on that but I just saw an auction in ebay ... used with packages/plastic missing, some smudges etc.

Cheapest, with a reliable website of course, I think is on newegg (where I got mine)... there is another one (hotdealshop) with shipping is around $530 but I don't want to invest my money in a site that sells expensive items and does not even have the time to upload a picture 👎

I wonder if buying a used t500rs is still covered under the 2yr warranty? Always wondering how are warranties handled when you buy an item used online. I would assume you inherit the rest of the previous owner's warranty

What you inherit is the possibility of someone screwing around with it and having a POS voided warranty. Pay the difference and buy a new one, please.
