I thought i might give this a go to wind down from that falcon ..

Got a 1'14.703 on TT6 with DS2 / AT is this any good im planing on trying to better it ..I,ve not run these for nearly a year and was a bit shocked when i knocked 3 sec's off my time original Gold time  I can post Screens of the TT records screen if required :)

Cool. ..Cheers ..I thought it was about time too that i got some times done ..Don't expect anything good on the normal car TT's i hate those dung boxes..But i will give it a go :)

Ron put me down for a 1.14.828 on TT6:)

Can anyone offer help /Tips for TT1 i suck real bad at this one running high 1.22's does it help to use any of the assist's ..?
I,ve never been good at this track ..The first corner hates me :(

Cheers :)

Ok here's the way i run TT1 with no assists

As soon as you cross the start line drop from 5th to 4th gear redline it until you get to about 207kmh , then up to 5th again also making sure your gently steering the car towards the rumble before turn 1 before you hit the rumble you should be 2 wheels on and 2 wheels off then brake and drop to 3rd to take the 1st bend flat out (the line will be noticed when you hit it right for the 1st time ) keeping the wheels straight and the car should ride all 3 rumbles situated on turn 1 , leaving the 3rd rumble heading to turn 2 you should redline the car to 163kmh before gearing up to 4th and taking the right left before t1 with the car again using both rumbles (a good T1 if all has gone well should be average 20.7 region if not lower )

Power through the T1 and gear up to 5th when it redlines (you'll only be in 5th for a second at the most ) make sure the car is to the left of the track to take the turn into the tunnel , drop early with brake from 5th to 3rd and keep a nice slide to mount the right hand rumble going into the tunnel ( if braking point before tunnel was precise it should naturally hit the rumble and carry you through with the wheels straight and no skid ...

Stay in 3rd as your heading towards the long sweeping left and get a line which looks like your going off in a straight line and as you get a nice point to mount the rumble just take your thumb off the x button while turning left onto the rumble and get the wheels to grip it without spinning you by tapping the accelerator to run you round the rumble , you'll know when your clear and back onto full power and you should naturally power onto the rumble before T2 gearing up to 4th as you reach 163kmh again crossing T2 hopefully in the 48.0- 48.2 region .

Next section is by far the make or break point YOU NEED TO RIDE ALL THE RUMBLES AGAIN going fairly far onto the 1st one on the left hand side then flick it onto the rumble on the right after negotiating the first correctly power until your wheels are straight then hit the brakes but not full on ! dropping through the gears in a smooth rythm the car should be swinging into the bend going into the tunnel , always making sure your car isn't being flicked erratically you should be making tiny touches on the steering to get your car going onto the rumble inside the tunnel with the car facing straight forward , redline it again but not to much or you'll lose the acceleration !...

...Gear up nicely and you can take on the following rumbles taking you up the hill and onto the final straight with nice speed always trying to keep the wheels in a straight line , heading towards the last dash you should gear up to 4th at 163kmh again for the final time and stay in 4th redline all the way to the the end of your lap

Hope this helps Pedro ;) find this rythm and you'll be in the 1.20.s before you know it 👍

Laters :)

Thanx alot Ron for that indepth run through of the lap 👍 ..Now i can see where im going wrong ..I can't remember my splits off the top of my head but im sure im losing loads of time in the first bend and the schicane after T2..i allways found myself braking too early at this point (just at the apex of the second rumble) depending on the line i took and losing control of the car going into the bend at the tunnel :mad:But from what i,ve read it seems my style is all wrong :0

Time to change my driving style a tad :)

Cheers again ;) i will give it a go later on :)

Hello again it turns out my earlier lap time was wrong maybe i forgot to save it or something ..But my best was 123.9 :embarrassed: (TT1)

But i studied your tips Ron and it really helped me out after 7 laps i got 1'21.826 with splits of 25.153 ..48.980 that was using DS2/MT this is the first time i've used MT with any great effect..:D But from your help Ron i've knocked 2 sec's off my best ;) Maybe not a great time but im sure happy with it ..
I can see where i could improve on this ..so i will get more practise in ..I was also running with ASM on just to get used to running with manual i will try next time without it ..

Cheers again Ron for your help 👍

I would post up my other TT times but there so :embarrassed: most of em just inside the required gold times..
But i will give em a go ..:)

Later ;)

EDIT a bit of an improvment TT1..1'21,469 DS2 /MT this time no ASM the 1'20,s are close ;)

tt1 very small improvement 1'20.929
