I'm not even going to start with this again, all I'm going to say is I worked on the truck so I know the limits of it.
No, you know what the computer tells you. Have you driven an H1 back to back with each of those other vehicles in every situation??? No, you haven't. But, the computer has done some "simulations" and spit out some numbers. Thats called bench racing, and it gets nowhere significant.

Specs and numbers are good for a base point. But, until the tires hit the dirt, you'll never know. And, as you've proven, you and dirt will never meet. Thus, you and your opinions and "computer simulated numbers" will never mean much.

I still think you are missing my point, I know what each vehicle is capiable off in the most extreme conditions and the H1 is just as capiable as every other off road type vehicle...so is the H2. The H3 sucks at just about everything except driving in the city, because it can parallel park.

The computer doesn't do simulations, it measures forces on the vehicle and puts them on the screen, I can make simulations if I want to, but I would rather just look at the data.

I've driven an H1, H2, and H3...never off road but I have driven them. I must say that the H1 is the hardest vehicle I've ever driven, the H2 isn't much easier, and the H3 was a lot like the Blazer, it just had more pick up.

I don't understand how you can't see that computer data is just real life data that was gathered and put into a program so I can look everything up. And if it wasn't under classification I would show you.

Slightly off topic, but...

If GM thinks that bouncing a car around on a jig and pumping the data through a computer is an accurate representation of real-world situations, that would explain a number of rather mediocre vehicles they have developed. No amount of data--and yes, I have a pretty good idea of the amount and detail of data you can gather--can quantify seat-of-the-pants feel.

Actually they hooked up these things to the trucks tires and actually drove it through Mesa, AZ. Yes they put it on test equipment in Pontiac, MI in the Structural Labs...its more to test how long parts last then anything...but they actually have tested the H1 and H2 in the deserts and rockey areas around Mesa...the tested the H3 on the city streets of Phoenix becuase the truck didn't like dirt (I'm not serious about the H3).

No, I get it. I just think its flawed.

No, the computer is giving you numbers, and your forming some theory about what you think is most capable.

Not in all situations. Thats where your missing this. The H1 and H2 are good machines, and have great abilities off-road. But, they aren't "just as capable" in every situation. Many situations??? Sure. Every one??? Nope. Thats where actually getting out there and not just reading numbers will tell you the real story.

And, I'd rather just get out and drive in the dirt and mud where your data and numbers mean squat.

I've driven a Bentley Arnage.....never off-road, but I have driven one. WEEEE!!!!

I understand that its real-life data. Thats not what I'm questioning. What I'm saying is, there is no "perfect" vehicle out there. Your data tells you that the H1 and H2 are very capable or whatever. But, they don't excel in everything. Like I said, they are very stout machines, and can do things that many other vehicles can't. But, there are things that they aren't the best at.

Thats all I'm saying. If you actually were an off-roader, you'd understand this. Just looking at numbers, or driving the car on the street won't tell you this. When you actually get out there, you'd see that there are many different situations you'll encounter. And, no one street legal vehicle is the best at every one of them. Be it a Wrangler, D90, G-Wagen, H1, or Land Cruiser. They all have ups and downs. Data won't tell you that, actual driving in those situations will.
