The Ultimate Model Car site.

1/43 scale is the size of a pull back. Too small for me. And too small for the price they are.

I'm going to get an AutoArt 1/18 scale RX-8 soon, AutoArt told me that it would be $60 from them, but within 5 mins I found it for $44.95. Not bad, cause AutoArt stuff is the best really.

Seeing as though I missed out on the 2nd gen Gate model and 3rd gen Kyosho RX-7, and the 1/32 I think it was Mazda 6 from the M-store, I seriously need to buy this model before they are gone too.

They look good, I can bet they are expensive though...;)

Nevermind, I found a couple 1/24. They look really bad, though. With that money I'd rather just buy a Tamiya model kit and make it my own way.

Well I buy 1/18 scale models and I take em apart and put em back together changing parts and stuff. Every one of my models are different in some way.

Maisto is the way to go, baby!

Don't I know it! I have like 20 1/18 scale Maisto cars. They have so many universal parts. Vitually all of the front wheel mounts are the same. Springs are the same. Even some rear suspension set ups are the same on similar cars(like on the Jag S type and Jag XKR...me and my bro switched parts, the S type wheels look tons better on my XKR). They are also build roughly the same, so anyone can take them apart and back together.

They are the best models for the money. But they don't have any Mazdas, so I'll have to go to AutoArt for that...

Maisto is a pretty good brand.
I have the 2000 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R

I would like to have the 1:18 1971 Chevrolet® Chevelle SS454 Convertible

Would it kill Maisto to carry a Subaru Legacy or Yamaha R6?

Maisto only makes a couple of Japanese cars, I have the S2000. They are more into the German and (now) American cars. My last Maisto buy was the Mercedes C-Klass coupe thingy, you know the small one.

I have quite a few 1/18 diecasts, mainly autoart.
R34 GTR, 996 GT2, Murcielago, Corvette C5-R, Viper Team Oreca, Impreza Rally, M3.

I have a M3 GTR on order aswell from Minichamps.

haha i am part of the South Okangan Scale Modelers club.. its ran out of Canada.. honestly since i got my car i haven't had much time to work on them.. i wish i had a pic of my merc i made a couple years ago.. i went all out.. only the body and the frame ar original i scartch built everything else ran wires to the gas tank.. disc brakes.. spark plugs.. its only a 1/24 but its amazing i won a prize for it.. i think it was a couple hundred bucks and i got this huge trophy too... its the only model i ever kept... i know its only a model but its a 51 merc with a 426 hemi with a scratch built blower(the more detail the better) well i could go on forever but i better stop before i get carried away

i personally just go with revell-monogram.. if there wasn't enough detail i'd make it.. not only that they have more american cars that i like

The 71 Chevelle SS is for some reason harder to find than the 72.
Weird huh?
