I've always liked The Judge.

My favorite part is that the biggest engine was the 455, because a 454 isn't big enough. :p It's also called "The Judge", how awesome is that?

G8 GXP, anyone? A poor man's M5...

Funny how, after these years, if we were to sell the G8 we could get exactly what we paid for it. Who's the poor man again?

The last generation of Firebird Grand Am is definitely my favorite. And I can't really place why. For using a Z06's engine, it's relatively anemic in terms of power (from the factory, anyway). And it has a gnarly face - although I kinda like how pissed of it looks. But it has a certain charm that I just like. I plan on buying one someday as a project car.

I migth be a bit bias¨d as i own an early 2.gen firebird Formula, and love to show it off, and put a lot of tuner people in the dust with my heavy steel dinosaur.

This is your car? Dude, it's awesome! Deserves it's own thread!

the SHO has nothing on this.

👍 I used to drive a modded '97 GTP that was modded.

Pretty darn quick & excellent gas mileage for what it was (35+ hwy) Great in the snow, and surprisingly good off road.

Plenty of cargo space too, I could fit 24 cases of oranges in it.

Did you find that out during a sensible road test?

 I used to work produce at the grocery store. When we ran out of a sale item I was sent to another store to borrow as much as I could.

It also fits 21 crates of sweet corn. FYI

For me it would be a 1965 GTO with a less flashier version of the motor in the pic below and supporting mods, courtesy of Nelson Racing. For those wondering, it's a twin turbo 572 BBC.

Big block Chevy on a pontiac = Automatic fail

I want one. Although, it would get Nissan Titan's VK56DE as soon as possible.. :D

The 1998-2002 Ram Air Trans Am was by far the best Pontiac IMO. Still one of my top favorite cars to this day. If I lived in a warmer climate, I would be driving one of these again. I still miss mine.

So does this mean that the 4th Gen Trans Ams are automatically a failure due to sharing the same variant of LT/LS with Chevrolet?

No, this means if you swap a big block Chevy in a Pontiac, you're fail.

I agree they are awesome. I love them and would love a 4th gen T/A.

Technically that's a Holden. The best Pontiac is the '77/'78 Firebird T/A aka the model that appeared in the first Smokey and the Bandit film. With that said, am I right in saying that the third film ruined the Firebird?

Absolutely. Then again, so did emissions crap and de-tuning.
