The Vehicle Wish List & Info Database

US V8s are the most fuel economic thanks to their tall gears (which they can overcome with huge torque, so short gears aren't really needed). You used Dodge as an example then claim US can't get good fuel economy?

Not true. US doesn't have as high of fuel milage standards. Whereas in places like German, Europe and China where gas prices are already high and they have set their fuel economy bar high, you can get a German V8 that easily gets a higher MPG than a US V8. (oh and does Dodge really count as American. I mean, don't like 90% of their parts come from Germany? If I am not mistaken the old Vipers only got like 5-8 mpg out of their V10, but after the Diamler merger, the fuel economy shoots up to 22mpg...hmmmm...)

-> I'm still updating the list guys, so hang on there fellas. :)

-> My next post will be a long one as I comment on some posts you guys made (except the Aussie car debate). ;)

-> Don't get me wrong that I'm bailing out or something. :boggled:

Z06 gets 24mpg on the highway.......with 505hp. And yes, Dodge is 100% whole heartedly American, especially the Viper.

*laughs uncontrollably* Vette has a V8 that only get 2 better mpg than the Viper's big and hearty V10? and isn't 24mpg the best fuel economy of any Chevy vehicle? (This from the company that released a 19mpg full sized hybrid SUV can called it 20% better than it's gas counterpart.)

Man, Chevy sucks at fuel economy. Dodge isn't much better, but at least they are trying. The Viper can still get Chevy's butt on the track. the only reason they aren't in the same LeMans class is because Team Viper got tired of Team Vette whining every time they lost. (Props to Aston Martin for staying in the race and putting up with Chevy whining over an extra 200lbs of weight and still whoopin' the DB9R's butt.)

OK, I put an end to your mis-guided assumptions. First, all SUVs suck for mileage. Second, Chevrolet's Cobalt even goes up to 37mpg. I doubt that's their best car. Third, the Viper doesn't stand to the Corvette on the track. The ACR does it because of all its downforce and weight reduction, it's essentially a race car for the road, like comparing apples and oranges. Fourth, Chev can't help it if their cars are too fast in ALMS, they're whining because they're winning without competition, making their entry in the series pointless, get it right. Fifth, there is still only 1.4L displacement difference between the Corvette and Viper, did you expect much difference? The Corvette is still better. Sixth, both cars were designed when fuel economy wasn't so critically crucial yet, wait until the C7 Vette for Chev to improve economy, C6 is ageing now.

hey if Dodge can create a V10 that reportedly gets 22mpg then V8s don't have to drink gas like crazy...only American V8s do that for the most part.Anyways, good luck on the car selection, unv.
trouble is in Australia anything thats not American V8 costs an arm + leg :grumpy: so the fuel saving is negated by the extra cost of the car. Maybe I should try to convince her on a V10 Viper or Ram.lol:)

HSV XU6 in VT/VX spec?
thats the one 👍

As far as I know there aren't different codes for different years, I believe they were all on a chassis called the J-body.

The three gens are
1='82-'87
2='88-'94
3='95-'05
with 3 designs for gen 3
design 1='95-'99
design 2='00-'02
design 3='03-'05

J body with 3 gens and a further 3 designs for gen 3 :) I have alot to learn with the US stuff :nervous: Thats what I like about this new list, showcasing the best performance versions of cars I never know about:tup: Cannot wait for the definative version of the GT game that has every car from all the Manufacturers........hope I live long enough to see it and enjoy it!

Haha any other questions about the cars I post, just go right on ahead and ask. :)

^ Well said statement there dude. However, I tried to attempt that back in V5.0, it was a very tedious job and frustrating at the same time. There were so many false informations, duplicates and at the same time, trying to jot down requests from posters. If I closed V5.0 for request just to revise the whole list would take me more than 1 year just to revise the whole thing. I work 6 days a week and also go to school, so my time for revising/slimming down V5.0 is slim to none. This reason was because of past dudes who were in charge with the WL that accumulated these cars over time. :indiff:

-> On the brighter side of things, I tend to slowly transfer the cars from V5.0 as you can see as time progresses. It really does help me a lot transfering these cars and re-verifying it. Some of your cars are there, I just have to search for it. It is really not just throwing all away, it is more of a filtration/distilled process of conjuring these cars from V5.0 to V5.5. :)

-> I would like to set an example that this WL is no BS. I also tend to educate people that there is so many interesting cars around the world, not just the ones we already know. :)

AHH, I see now. So it's like filtration, a separation technique that we learned about in Chemistry. It's just a very big and slow filtration. That makes sense.

:-)

Can I remind people to please submit their requests in the correct format to reduce the amount of work TVB has to do in the little time he has on the forum?

@ saint_dracula - for example, it would be very helpful if you'd link those choices to pictures, as I personally haven't the slightest clue what any of them are, what they look like - and two of the manufacturers I've never even heard of. If you then take a look on the first page of the thread you'll see the format that The Vanishing Boy wants them to be in - the manufacturer, the model, the trim, any chassis code [in square brackets, like this], the type of car (sedan, coupe etc), then finally, the year.

It'll speed their progress onto the main list 👍

-> As I told you guys earlier, that it this will be a long one. Oh well, here we go!

Jaguar Cars:
1992 XJ220
1993 XJ220 S

noticed these two are missing from the Jaguar list
^ Indeed, and I've also added few more:
V5.5
V5.5

;)

To cut it short, I just want:
The old Mini
Ford Escort (mk1, mk2, mk3, mk4, up to the last one released)(Also a few differemt engine sizes) also some estate models.
Ford Capri 1.6l
Ford Capri (3.something litre - can't remember exactly)
Ford Sierra, cossworth, estate, 4wd, rwd variations)
Morris Minor
Some older rovers - before 2002...

I want these to be avalible for all regions, and if not, just PAL :D
^ Nice list, but not following the format...denied. :indiff:

Thanks TVB for the Jags and the Italdesigns. I am tryin' to stick to the format. Sorry, about the slip up. Thanks for the correction of the VAD.HO concept. All the pictures and places I found just called it the Guigairo Concept. That actually adds to the previous Italdesign list from V5.0 :-P much more complete. Yes, the car is a targa, but i posted the two because there are 2 configurations. There is a "coupé" version as well, that was showed on 2006 São Paulo International Auto Show. It's exactly the same design as the Targa one, but with fixed roof. Don't know if it went production though. Ok, jeez after screwing around forever trying to get the right picture, the stupid pics won't post...so whatever, they are what they are. Anyways, this is just a short list of what I really hope will make the cut. Been hoping for every one of these since they came out/the game came out.

About the Forenza and TSX:
Yes, I do know the Forenza is also a Buick-Chevrolet-Daewoo, but I want the Suzuki. The '06 listed under Chevy currently has a different grille arrangement. 2005's had a 3 piece grille rather than the Chevy arrangement of 2006.
And Yes, I also know that the 2004 TSX is a Honda Accord Euro-R, but again, different interior for one, and secondly the badging is different ;) .

And to those wondering "WHY?!":
I picked the crapo Spectra and Rondo just because I would love to see how they would compare against something with true power! (Lemme say tho, the Rondo has some serious get-up-and-go for what it is...not to mention the Forenza as well)

Oh wow, forgot to add one of my new favorites...

omg, the power of that turbo 5 cyl is just, so very nice! lol Test drove one not too long ago and fell in love with it. (Not to mention it starts at like $25k!)

What was wrong with my format? Anyway, I didn't know you didn't want re-badges, but OK. (I just wanted an HSV badge ).
I have to diasgree with calling HSVs tuner vehicles, unless you count AMG, SRT, ///M-Spec etc as tuners as well.

Edit: Great job otherwise, I see you left out the 40th anniversary GTS for a standard one. The 40th Anniversary one introduces a new gearbox that will become standard on future models, plus it has the original HK's stripes which I thought was very cool. I'm happy either way.👍
