TRACK DAY LOTUS SPECIAL
Ok gentlemen (and Holden),
I have been talking to some contacts at Lotus and Suzuka, and have wangled us something a bit special.
It turns out that the Suzuka Race Driving School will shortly take delivery of a new fleet of Lotus Elises, and the Lotus marketing dept are making a big splash of it as part of their push into Japan.
We have been invited to take part in one of thier press launch days where we will be allowed plenty of laps in their specially specced up school cars on the FULL Suzuka Grand Prix Circuit.
This will take place just after our weekend at the Nurburgring, and give everyone the opportunity to see what they can do in like for like equipment.
They have some pretty good equipment on them, and quite a lot of scope for chassis tuning, so there should be a lot of fun for everyone. The specs are as follows:
Lotus Elise 111R
270bhp@7800rpm
186lb.ft@6800rpm
860kg
Stage 2 NA tune
Semi-racing exhaust
Engine balancing
Port Polish
Racing chip
Roll cage (only on some cars so optional)
Semi-racing suspension
Brake balance controller
Variable Limited Slip Diff
Standard gearbox
Twin plate clutch
Racing Flywheel
S1 (Sports/Hard) Tyres
Oil change and Chassis refresh as required.
I know that many of you have been itching to find out how you compare, so this should give you the opportunity. I will be doing some research in the Driver's Book of Excuses, as Suzuka is one of my worst tracks in the game

Why did I choose it? Go figure...
