Mods:
S1tires

street suspention
Roll Cage
-

Can you provide little more info, and precise info, you can see the template from another people`s post!

180sxdrifter, take a look at the rules for the base mods, you can have a few more than what you have

FastEddie12
Modifications:

Modifications will be strictly controlled according to the following rules:
The only tyre allowed will be the control tyre: S1.
All cars will start with a base setup as follows: sports suspension, sports exhaust, chassis refresh (optional), oil change and roll cage (opt).
At each track, competitors will be allowed one further modification of their choice, which must only be one level higher than the previous spec.
The following mods are not allowed: stage 4 turbo, no gearbox mods, no nitrous system S1 tyres only.
Budget Division cars will start with a stage 1 NA tune, unless they are turbocharged as stock, when they will start with a stage 1 turbocharger.
Budget Division cars will also start with a racing flywheel.

These rules have been changed to allow ALL cars to have racing flywheel

used some1 else n edited it to my cars spec :)

holden, as you know, the jury is still out on that one.

Both a112 abarth and I believe that it should be allowed, but with the max of stage 2. Any input from people would be greatly appreciated, and ed's comments on the matter would be invaluable (along with a first post edit???)

Here`s my application for:
2) Budget Division (1980-1989) FR/MR/RR 0-200bhp
Mazda RX-7 GT-Limited(FC,J) 1985
Turbo
Mods:suzuka mod:Stage 1 weight reduction
all alowed, but no refreshing and roll cage
Stock HP:161
HP:194
Torque:244.99NM(stock)
256.45NM(tuned)
Weight:1164(stage 1 weight reduction)
Time:1˙34.781,damn this is faster than my expections,i think that this car,the R32 GTR `89 and Z32 `89 should be moved to modern class,it is out of the competition for budget class.

I had the impression, with a lot of old cars, that they are easier to drive and also faster NA then with a Turbo . . . even if they have less power. . the powerband is smoother . . I guess . . :sly:

and the 70s lancer is really a surprise for me. . great handling car . . 👍

NA (All-Motor) provides more torque than HP, which the opposite of a turbo. The turbo provides more HP than torque, which doesn't help in corneling.

That's how it is in real-life, I didn't checked in the game if by adding NA the torque would go higher than with a turbo. I should do the test someday.

Uhhh, sorry MugenVTEC, but that car is illegal, you are allowed 1 (one) mod per track. Please either remove one of your mods and provide some sort of proof, or use a different car. You may use this car, WITHOUT ANY FURTHER MODIFICATION at the next track, if you wish to keep it as it is, but you cannot use it at the Suzuka West Course in it's current configuration.

Easy mistake to make, but I and A112Abarth have been instructed to be firm but fair. Besides that, that integra can go much quicker than that with legal mods anyway.

All Stewards decisions are final, although you have the right to protest if you believe that the aforementioned decision is in some way unfair. Although me may or may not listen to you, it all depends on the level of whining.

FastEddie said that Brakes are not a track mod since he thinks that they don't work. Read the "How about.." thread.

the "How about..." thread is now defunct and obsolete, and a112 and I are running off the rules laid down at the start of this thread. Obviously ed will have the final say, but if they don't make a difference, then why did you put them on?

If you really want to keep them, then perhaps we may be able to talk ed into allowing them as a base mod.

Sorry if I was a bit harsh, I get that way sometimes.

I thought so too . . . :scared: . . I just didn't install them because I'm sure they are useless with S1 tires . .

Hi guys, back from a hard day in my (mobile) office.

Brakes: the racing brakes are not worth having without super sticky racing tyres. Think about it: if you can already lock your brakes as standard, how are more 'powerful' brakes going to help? You have already reached the limit of the tyres...đź’ˇ Thanks to Scaff for enlightening me to that some months ago (and to think of all the money I wasted in ignorance... ).
So you can have them as a racing modification if you insist, but it is a waste of your mod for this track. If you have them it will count as your modification. (Otherwise, children, you will never learn...:p )

I'm going to get to work on the leaderboard now, have fun, and welcome to all the latecomers  . Any questions?

Question about tuning NA cars with Turbo:
That kind of tuning is often in RL,and i think that that kind of tuning should be in,but just max. to stage 1 or 2,because,the car with stage 3 turbo in RL should have Intercooler and better lubricating the engine with oil.In RL it is possible that the engine collapse. So i suggest to add turbo tuning to NA maximum to stage 1 or 2,beacuse you can`t add intercooler to NA cars tuned with turbo(as far as i know). The final decision is yours! ;)

Also, think about what i sayed about GTR `89 Z32 `89 and RX-7 `85 transfering to the modern class!

it isnt really that common as you need to change alot of the internals to cope with the lower compression and costs a fair bit ;)

It`s stupid thing in GT4,that the Turbo tuning and Port polishing works together, with port polishing you`re just increasing the compression, and that`s where the engine could collapse(it happens in RL)

You both have a point. I like Abarth's reasoning, and I think we'll go with that, partly because I want to give people freedom in this thread. Heck, it's complicated enough already! :sly:

So: cars that are NA as stock can be turbo'd, but only to stage 2.

I actually want the budget division to knock on the door of the moderns and give them a fright!:scared: . I'm particularly fond of your RX-7 because that is traditionally the first car I look for in a new GT game :sly: , and I know it's very tunable and handles very well. I'm a bit worried about the Z32, but they don't handle that well... We'll see what develops.👍

Please write "Update" in biggish letters next to a new time, along with the name of the car, as it can get confusing when updating the leaderboard. Thankyou.

Ok,

I would like to enter 3 cars

Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 1965 (Classic division)

Renaultsport Clio 172 (Modern division/FF/100-179BHP)

Renault 5 Turbo (Budget division/FR/MR/RR)

Are these ok to use?

Think I have this right, S1 tyres, base mods + flywheel and stage 1 turbo for the Renault 5 + 1 x mod of my choice?

Then S1 tyres base mods + 1 mod of my choice for the Clio and Alfa?

thanks

Dave

Sorted. I'm not exactly sure what cars the S4 will be up against though. which was why I wanted to combine the two classes. But that Audi of yours is sooo rapid, I don't mind now:)

Yeah the "flywheels for everyone" rule was a late addition, and I've just updated the first post.

Welcome Dave!

Ed,i'm now in hunt on your Caterham with RX7,i'm trying my best, but i think that i don't have chance against that lightweight!

Nice time Abarth! But my latest is nicer: :D

Update:Caterham Seven Fireblade: 1'28.097"
