Damn good time in the GT man...but...as ed said in his PM, were those times with any AIDS? As the other times look a little too quick as well. No offence, just askin!

None taken, it's all good. I find this game a lot more fun without Aids. It is somewhat difficult on the DS2 with some cars like the Formula GT, but I'm pretty used to it by now.

I saved the replays, and I haven't used my capture card yet. If you guys would like I will try to get a video up.

edit: On request, I am posting a replay of the GT run.
edit2: Some how I managed to throw away a serial number that I needed for this, so i will get one tomorrow and post the replay.

no worries l2ev, we look forward to seeing a master at work.

Detuning sounds fine to me, as long as a different part doesn't replace it, such as removing stage 2 NA (leaving it to stage 1) and then adding and LSD or something.

You could always try sandbagging it. :)

I find that the GT time is somewhat believable based on driving it in the dry. You can launch it hard in first without wheelspin.

I have decided that I don't really need to de-tune it, I just need to tune my driving!! :dunce:

EDIT NEW TIME: 1'11.906
EDIT<< NEW NEW TIME:) 1'09.891

Went crazy fast,, and I think I have nothing more to shave off with this car,, getting ready for the Ring and World Cup:)

This was great fun in the Acura,, Stayed in 3th gear when coming into corners and when I was at low rpm I shifted back,, Then all the power would come loose and my rear tyres would slip,, Fantastic:)

Toyota 2000 GT - Classic Division

Power: 256 BHP/ 6600 Rpm
Torque: 276.56 NM/5000 Rpm
Weight: 1120 KG
Power to weight: 4.320
Sports exhaust
Semi Racing suspension - Tsukuba mod
Stage 2 turbine kit - Suzuka mod
Stage 2 turbine kit - Laguna Seca mod
Oil change
Racing flywheel
Driving Aids: 0/0/0
MT
Time: 1'18.178

This was higly annoying,, I stayed in 3th gear most of the time,, unless I was low on Rpm,, as I always am in 2nd last corner,, I take that corner in 3th gear,, and coming out of it I would shift back too 2nd gear,, so al the power would come down to Front wheels,, And then I blow up my transmission or something because I can only do a 40 mph in last gear  It happened 3 times in a row,, and if it would work I could shave two or maybe even three seconds of my time:nervous:

You can hear when the wheels break traction, when that happens, back off a bit. Ease the throttle on slowly, keeping them on the grippy side of the traction limit. You will get some good speed that way. I have yet to hit 4th in my Zonda at any stage on the track, as i need to very gently apply the power. A real test of driving skill this one!

For those of you who wondered where am i,i was on a trip for 3 days and could not manage to get times for laguna, whell i haved times but accidently didn't saved them and that leaves me without score for that track, nevermind it is about fun mostly.See ya at Japan, first going to test NSX on the Hakone ;)

That is because most of the weight is in the back since it is an MR. I was expecting a fast time from that Ruf because that is an RR.

Yes, but I'm driving it! I was hoping the Ruf would be right on your tail, but I clearly have some work to do! :banghead: There's definitely more to be had, but I have family staying at the moment, so I can't spend much time on the PS2...

Good to see you Abarth, shame about the times...

Leaderboard now up to date to this post.

Just dropped in a 1'10.127" in the Ruf.

Ed, your too hard on yourself man, you have set some pretty impressive times in the past.

In other news
My AC Cars 427 will take no further part in competition at Tsukuba, as it is currently back in the US vying for the coveted 300MPH. I will most likely have it ready to Infineon next week though. Wish me luck, although I am starting to think thats it's not possible. (Not a word holden, Not a word!)

Hi all,

Not happy at all:grumpy:

Driven so many dry laps of Tsukuba and its one of my favourite circuits.

But not when its wet.

The 5 feels like its on ice.

The Clio doesnt want to turn.

The Alfa spun both rear wheels all the way round upto 5th gear. (and yes even on part throttle)

So I have persisted with what will be probably the only 5 laps in each car unless I have a change of heart.

Took some weight out of the 5, put some power into the Clio and fitted a lsd to the Alfa. see my timepost for more details.

regards

David

They may as bloody well have coated the thing in ice! It's about that slippery!

*considers buying a motor-sled*

Oh, and boogieman, I have posted my race number for TT in your thread!

I wasn;t asking that,, and I know I will not having the fastest time at the end,, There will always be someone faster,, * I was asking,, fastest time of the day<----";)

i think you only get points for the fastest time of each classes at the end of the week :)

Sorry about the delay. I asked Pinnacle for a new serial number and they havent gotten back to me yet.

Our Track Day is, in fact, the perfect track day - it lasts a week! :D However, 'FTW' doesn't have quite the same ring to it as the more traditional 'FTD', so 'FTD' is, in fact the fastest time of our 'track' day, which lasted a week. But I can't call it a 'track week', now, can I?

I hope that clears it up.
