Took the 5 for another blast tonight, and took 1.2 out of the previous best, so does show there is some promise out there!

Some pics...

*EDIT* Just took 1.6 out of the Alfa time and 1s out of the Clio time. I found that raising the the suspension and softening each car found me more grip to lay down the power, worked wonders for the Alfa!

No problem, Deathwish. Nice time in the Acura! ;)

Times updated again, let me know if I've missed anyone.

Edit: Yeehar! Improved throttle control and a top line out of the last bend gives.....

1'09.151" :sly:

My improved time with the Acura isn't there,, It's 1'11.906,, Sorry if I'm bothering you":)

Edit: You can go to last page and last post,, I changed my time with a link there:),,, Great work on your time too with your car:)

Sorry about that, sorted now. I could have sworn I'd done that one... I don't mind at all if you guys point out these mistakes, I'd rather the leaderboard is right. :) Thanks.

Now to get that Caterham up to speed...

De@tthwi§ho0 how about some challenge,Honda on Acura?

UPDATED TIME POST FOR NSX

Thagt sounds like a lot of fun,, If I can make another time improvement,, I am a bit busy right now,, but I'll try myhardest:)

Nice to hear that,i'm not strong on hp,but handling and braking are good on my nsx!

How expensive is that Nsx-r actually,, isn't it millionaire class?? Cus yours is a racing model,, I believe I have a slight disadvantage though,, because yours should be lighter and should have better handling,, Oh well,, I'll try to get my Nsx a bit faster around the track,, I'm just really busy right now:(

The NSX is the Type-S, not Type-R, and no, it's not millionaire's class. Check your game.

Pinnacle still hasn't got back to me about the serial number, but I found my Flash drive! :dopey: I have updated my time post with pics. My Viper...

OK now back from Leeds and I've also had a chance to get some time with my cars at Tsukuba Wet.

Mods for the track are Semi-Racing Suspension on both.

The Galant was as slow as ever, but boy was it fun in the wet, side-ways around every single corner, but at such a slow pace it was easy to maintain some seriously silly angles.

The Skyline was a total joy, the semi-racing suspension allowing a good balance to be found and the traction from the 4-wd a major help.

Nsx is Type S,and it stock has less power than acura nsx '04,and btw it is in millionaire's class, check my Entry Post

I would like to apply a Jaguar S-Type R '02 for the modern sallon section instead of the Caterham. I hope that this allowed. I will do the mods that are allowed and the extra mod, following the rules. I hope that is OK.
I am also entering a budget car, a Nissan Skyline GT-R 1989. It has (After mods, including the extra turbo because of the budget section.):-
Sports suspension
Sports exhaust
Racing flywheel
Chassis refresh
Oil change
Rollcage
S1 tyres
Stage 1 turbo
Stage 2 turbo
Racing brakes kit
Stage 1 weight reduction
414hp
362.95lb.ft of torque at 4400rpm
1430kg
4wd

Only managing a 1'17.599

Jaguar isn't done yet, but I'd like to enter both of them on Infineon on Sunday if that's alright.

Whell, the budget cars comes on the track day with turbo stage 1,so you have 3 more mods to choose,i see you chosed the turbo stage 2,that's actually called mod for the first track,so that means suzuka mod,so you have 2 more mods on your service!

Good. Thanks for pointing that out. I had no idea.

Also, does that mean when Infineon opens on Sunday, we are all allowed one more mod?

xjr-9

P.S. - Is my Skyline time (Budget class), the 1'17.599, the best in class? The leaderboard on the first page doesn't show any quicker times for the category.

Another thing, how do I take a photo of the time on the screen as the car passes the line?

Nope 'cos I've posted a 1.15:593 with the same car, the leaderboard just has not been updated yet.

Also could you please us ehe edit button to add to a post rather than puting two (or more) posts in a row, and in answer to that question, you use a digital camera.

OK, though I have managed a quicker time similar to yours. I can't use a digital camera as I don't know how to link it up to my computer. I have PM'd FastEddie12 about that.

Umm you don't link it up to get the time picture, you take a picture of the screen.

👍 Kudos on the faster time, but I haven't finished yet, still a few days to go.

Welcome XJR-9!

Abarth is quite right about the number of mods allowed, basically there's one per track on top of the base spec; but he missed that you'd put on racing brakes. These are counted as a modification, but bear in mind that they are next to useless on S1 tyres and only make a difference on soft racing rubber (and even that's arguable...). The reason? it's not the brakes that slow you it's the tyres ;) if you are already overpowering the tyres with the standard brakes, then stronger brakes are only going to overpower the tyres sooner. It's not a big deal, really, but I made the rules, so I can say what I like...:)

See Scaff's excellent discussion on the subject!

Love the Jaguar! That's one of those cars that I keep meaning to get some time with, and you should give Holden's S4 a fright :D You might even be knocking on the door of his M5s time... well, maybe not. We'll see!

Good Luck!

Edit: Times now updated to this post. Let me know if I've missed any.

he might cause i have no more time to better those times :( leaving tomorrow morning first thing ,only time i have better is the quattro's got that down to 1:15.372 :D

Good time with the Quattro, Holden! I didn't know an original Quattro was faster than a Pagani Zonda! :dopey: (times updated)

I think that he added racing brakes and weight reduction later in post edit, but nevermind, but it also may be that i've overseen it!The brake thing is true, the stock GTR brakes themselves blocking the wheels 100% ;)

Notice from the marshalls at post 4: would competitors please stop wheelspinning as they exit the sand trap on turn 2, as all the sand is getting in their sandwiches.
Thankyou.

Well I've given up on going for competative lap-times in the Galant, don't worry however 'old slow' will still make an apperance at each trackday. Its just too much damn fun to drive to leave at home, besides I'm looking forward to running it at the 'ring.

The '89 GTR is however proving to be a real joy in the wet, 4wd really does make a huge difference, just make sure its a nice slow in approach and it hooks up wonderfully on the exit, letting you lay down the power with no risk of wheel spin. Just had an excellent half hour with it (up-date in time post - finally got below 1.15), spent most of the lap sideways, not big angles, but great fun.

I just love this track in the wet, I really do wish we had the chance to run every track in GT4 in the wet as well as the dry.

Also on track for my plan to have full race suspension as my final upgrade for the GTR when we get to the 'ring, if any track is set-up sensitive its that one. Still I know I'm going to get hammered by Dave when it comes around, he's spent just tooooooo much time on that track.
