German Muscle
this is getting tense! I think i may win by default since my opponent is MIA. I hope he shows up, he should at least post and let me know hes there.

It's my younger brother, currently at work until 10:30 or so (Mountain) He's in WRS and the American Muscle car series (which he's put more focus on) and he hasn't touched this at all.

When he gets home I'll make sure to tell him you are anxiously anticipating his post - we'll see if he can kick me off the PS2 long enough to put a time down, what's it worth to you for me to play the bully and say no? ;). I'm working on WDS and WRS at the moment, but have PC games I can play until he's done if I have to.

Hehehehe..... Maybe i should keep quiet until the 5th?

Seriously though, I am here, and had spaced this tournament. I will do some racing tonight.

Which makes me wonder...

How the heck is he getting that?

I'll be *very* interested to see his setup AND replay!

UMP
I'll be able to post my setup but I have no way of posting a replay, so sorry about that.

Considering the effort a lot of people seem to be having trying to crack it in to the 12.2s time I went back to the car lot, purchased another Galant (now my 6th) and tuned it identically to my 12.197 car. The car is running 12.22x - 12.25x consistantly, with the occasional 12.1x. I managed to get 12.201 on my 8th run, 12.199 on the 13th run, and I managed 12.197 on runs 15 and again on 27.

I have gone back over my hastily scribbled notes and found there are 2 other setups that gave me 12.2 second runs.

Remember to run the same setup a number of times as the speed and direction of the tacho needle at the moment of launch, and the effect of the TCS kicking in changes the run time by up to 1/10 second.

After some work, I managed a much more respectable 12.160

Only .1 off from my previous best, so that's what the chip did in this case.... .1

This time I KNOW I'm within the rules!

Alright....did a few more runs this morning...and was able to knock off some time and get under 12.3xx

My new time is 12.296

Hope it holds up :nervous:

Well, I got owned... Not that it matters. I'm too busy with other obligations.

Well, I don't know how ya'all are doing it, but I tried several setups and the best run and the one I am submitting is 12:308

German Muscle, if you beat it, more power to you. If not, at least you were given the shot.

You only got owned if you give up now (i.e. time of your post) - still got a day to keep trying.

12.242 in the Galant. I'm done for the week, gotta work the next two days and have other things to do monday. -_-'

My apologies to Thirdeye for not having posted any earlier. I've been doing testing with various used cars for this race and testing car's for Kolyana's Musclecar Championship.

I don't have a confirmed time right now with any one vehicle, but rest assured I'll have it in time!

Cool 👍

Kenny, looks like you got a by on this round eh?

Z. knows about the tournament and replied to my pm to him about it. He is very active in the WRS - I'm just assuming he prefers to keep his time quiet. I wouldn't discount him from getting an awesome time.

It's fine :)

Thank you for posting your setup before the deadline.

Roughly 5 hours left although I may be late in closing it.

12.485 with the Galant and about half an hour of playing around.

I'll more info tomorrow if you need it. :P

Here's my setup just in case I can't post it in the next few days...

Galant that everyone else used...

Exhaust 1,550
Weight reduction 1,100
Chip 1,200
Nitro 5,000

Total 8,850

TCS 7
AT Transmission

Final Time 12.296

Umm, don't we post out time, then our setup comes after the deadline, once the winner is determined?

My current (and most likely final time is 12.104

Cause if I post my setup right now, then UMP could come along, read it, and be like "ohhhhh" and then buy the mods etc etc....so it's your time before the deadline, then setup after, right?

P.S, does anyone know where I can host small videos for free?

I have to agree with BCDSM, Post times before the closing (mine as stated is 12:308) but post setups afterwords.

Not that I am going to race any more tonight.... but You never know.

Unless you just want to know what we are driving and what we purchased. Not how we set it up.

Galant. Final time 12:308
Racing Chip 1200
Stage 1 Exhaust 1550
Nitous 5000
Light wieght stage 1. 1100

Not that that leaves much, and I will post my settings if asked/required.

Best I could manage was a 12.288 in the Galant....that's my final time and I'm sticking to it.

Now that this round is over, here's my setup.

Nitrous Oxide
Stage 1 Exhaust
Weight Reduction Stage 1
Racing Flywheel

Total - 8650$

Settings - Nothing except a good ol' 100 shot.

12.104, probably could have broke .1's (just) but I didn't need to so I started on the Ruf.

If someone can host videos for me or knows or a place where I can host for free, then I can post my run.

I'm gonna have to try the flywheel and see what I get...that's one combo I didn't think of and I'm gonna be pretty mad at myself for not trying it if I do a lot better - still don't know if could beat that .104 - we'll see...good job man.

<EDIT>

AAAAAAAAEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

@##^#$%&#$@#%@#%!!!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

After about 5 runs I got a 12.144 with TCS set at 7 - switch to 6 and only got 12.175

I bet I could've gotten closer to you, still don't know if I could've beat you, but a few more runs and I might have.

BLAST!

Good job ace.

Yeh, it's was one of those 1:30 am in the morning "let's try this" kinda things.

And I'll just say this, I tried very very very hard to break 1's,. In the standings, my times were 12.104, .105, .106, .107. .108, etc..... 104 was the best I could do.

Good running with yeh though, I'm excited to see what the next round brings.

So...where are the results? Or did I just look right past them? lol

Results are being posted now, I apologize but my brother is starting an ebay business and he needed the computer.

I used the exact same setup as BCDSM, I just didn't have enough time to perfect the shifting. I got a by anyway :(

The two people I expected not to submit didn't; I'm surprised Z. didn't submit a time.... even with the 'extra time' I would have gave it to him. Oh well.
