Going over the Japanese site, I think it means that 170 cars have interior damage and the others do not. Until a full officail translation comes I am not so sure.

Why are some people so negative ? I mean you are not happy with a thousand cars even if at the moment it's not clear if all the cars will have damage and interiors. Stop whining and appreciate that atleast we got some solid info about GT5.

Tell me where I am whining?

I simply put a thumbs down emoticon, I didn't go into a whiny rant or anything. You, however, did.

I am wholly allowed to express some disappointment whether you think I should be able to or not.

So far the news sounds great,I think they still have more not yet disclosed. Glad to here chat in race lobby, and FINALLY private rooms...THANK YOU!!!

Real info zomg! Perked up the day no doubt.

I'm a little confused by this head tracking thing. :) If you turn your head to change view, won't you no longer be looking at the monitor to see the changed view? :)

its probably slight head adjustments, lets hope we get a few videos from the GT5 booth in the next few days :)

I thought I'd use some of my meager Japanese skills to take a look at this. Some of it has probably been retranslated better than Amar's post somewhere, but I haven't seen it yet...

edit: Beat to the punch. Oh well!

Ah come on, this is a beautiful moment, guys. We got INFO for once.

I'm often an optimist, but 170 cars with damage+ interior would be LMAO. However, GT5: Prologue already has 74 done, so it almost makes zero sense that they only finished 100 more since then.

Kaz did mention in an interview that prologue was all they had at that point ( +-70 fully modelled cars) - so 170 'interior only' cars could be a possibility.........hope not

I'm about to cry... 5 years and only 170 cars!? They're joking right? Tell me it's a joke, please, it has to be!?

Jesus ****** christ........... 👎👎👎

EDIT: For the first time you've turned me down Amar. "The fiest of the gods", well that's BS!

That would make no sense, how can there be more courses than layouts?

Hopefully Black Chambers post is accurate, I got the impression the 20 was to do with photomode locations but that was from dodgy translatons. What I want to understand most is if allt he cars will have cockpit views or not in GT5, I don't want some cars to have it but most not.

I meant as in instead of 20 courses with 60 variations, what if its 60 courses with 20 variations.

This makes more sense, from the News page:

JDigital Says:

any news about wheather and day and night cycle? same as the number of car at once on track ?Because that is as important as damage the 2 first feature that i've written.

"The premium model will also support the expression of interior damage"

What could this mean?

I'm a little confused by this head tracking thing. :) If you turn your head to change view, won't you no longer be looking at the monitor to see the changed view? :)

you do it kind of like this

I will still buy gt5 but I am a bit annoyed because I have waited like 3 years for this game when only 17% of the cars have full interiors and damage, and the other 83% have been carried over from a ps2 game (gt4) that was released in 2005, when the game was promised as a launch title and still 3 years on theres no release date and 83% of the cars like I said earlier are exactly the same as in gt4 then thats just bull:censored: and nothing but. I will still buy gt5 and I will probably enjoy it, but after 3 years of delays and an E3 trailer showing damage that falsely led me to believe that all cars will have damage and full interiors I did expect that the full game will have all features on all cars :( :banghead:

On a happier note though, it does give more hope that the game will be released in 2009 :)

EDIT: But if all the vehicles have interiors and damage but the interiors on some of the cars don't react to damage then I will still be extremely happy with the game :)

I know noone's going to listen to me, but all emotions aside, can I suggest that we simply wait for a proper translation of the news before we start to pick them apart? The 170-out-of-1000-cars-thing sounds very shady to me, and I would say there is little point in jumping on that before we fully embrace what it means.

And yes, I'd also love to know that right now, but we'll all have to wait and see.

It definitely reads more than 20 course, and more than 60 layouts.

confirmed with my brother 3 times to be sure.

Well you should wait until we get an official translation before you worry so much.

I fear its most likely that only 170 cars will have an interior or damage, and if this is the case I shall have to stand back and watch the press and the forza camp tear apart the next edition to my favourite game which I have grown up playing.

I have been saying this the whole thread. People need to take EVERYTHING with a grain of salt.

so 840 cars i have seen in gt4 and another 70 i have seen in gt5p.

plus no real confirmation of any new real features (damage weather etc.) and it looks like to be the same old tracks.

very disappointed so far but i will wait until TGS before giving up on PD.

does anyone read premium 170 new models, as prehaps having to pay for them ? i mean they're premium

You may be onto something. It could fit with the fifth wind:

Fifth wind says that reunion will happen in two forms, one greater than other and birdtamers will have freedom to decide which reunion they will attend. Greater reunion will ask for great sacrifice to be made in order to get all present and future treasures without new sacrifices needed, while smaller reunion will come in form already known, asking for more sacrifices if future treasures catches the eyes of the birdtamers.
