I think there is 170 Models with damage & thier interiors the reflect damage

Google translate from the Japanese site:
"Model 170 Model 1000 recording of premium models (interior, corresponding to the damage)"

So this GT4 transferd cars, are they just the cars from GT4 but completly redesigned? Or does PD think they can get away with you 170 new cars and 830 low poly crap looking cars?

I hope you are right. :nervous:

No. I think the meaning of GT4 specs is, 1. you can't ahve a interior veiw and 2. No damage. Three veiws only for those cars. besides that, I should expect that all the cars are up to GT5 specs.

If they've only got 170 cars with interiors and damage then just transfered the rest from GT4, I am going to be seriously pissed. What the hell have they been spending the last 5 years on? Hopefully the translation was just poor... We've not been waiting this long for a half-done job.

That sounds about right. Like someone said before, let's just wait until the english GT site gets updated.

If the rest of the non 170 car models are GT4 spec (no interior, damage, etc), then DLC can be used to "upgrade" the GT4 spec cars to the full GT5 spec. Just pray that no charge will be applied.

I'm pretty sure PD had car models of GT4 cars at a much higher resolution already when GT4 came out. Downgrading for a weaker system is a lot easier than upgrading them. I wouldn't worry about them looking bad.

I understood that there will be 1000 car models.👍
170 of them are fully modelled with damage.
830 are gt4 level models:nervous:

hmm... lets wait for official translation.:scared:

I'm wondering same thing too. They better not carry all the cars from GT4 over, then add 100 something new models with high poly, add damage, add internet connectivity, and voila it's good for gold

GT5 Specification:

Babelfish + some logical translation:

- 1,000 cars
- 170 premium models (with interior and damage)
- 830 of "standard cars" ('gran turismo 4' specification the empty those which can give compatibility in the model which is taken over, whatever that means)

Courses
20 layout of or more 60 or more of courses

* Physical simulation of vehicle
- New physical engine
- Expressing the inversion of the vehicle
- Damage expression (the deformation with collision completely appearance)
- Prius and in sight, it reproduces also the behavior of the up-to-date hybrid car and the electric automobile such as Tesla faithfully

* Arcade mode
2 prayer battles

■GT mode
[warudomatsupu]
[maigareji]
[kadeira]
[chiyuningushiyotsupu] (part and tire)
Car washing
[chiyanpion****supuresu] (series system, point system)

Text/voice chat :D
[puraibetorumu]

'From [gurantsurisumo] 5 prologue' edition addition of further information

* Sound
[kasutamusaundotoratsuku] (use of the music which is retained in PS3)

* User interface
'The [gurantsurisumo] 5 prologue' and design concept are identical. As for idea contest modification to color
Movement of the cockpit camera (interior three-dimensional possibly by [hueisutoratsukingu] verification possibility)

Wow, just incredible. No wonder it took them so long, they were actually listening just as I thought. And who is it that keeps saying they leave their fans in the cold?:)

and private rooms, and loading your replays directly to youtube :D
Definately looking forward to that as I already have a youtube account myself. I smell music videos coming.

*Waits for GTP servers to go down for hours*

Guys, you can stop worrying about the cockpit view as I am 100% sure that Kaz would NOT release this game with only 170 of the cars with cockpit view, considering Prologue had ALL OF THEM. And if I remember correctly, there was a video out somewhere that had Kaz being interviewed at a track and him talking about how big of a deal the in-car view was, so I doubt he would back down from that and only have 17% of the cars with in-car view. There has to be something lost in translation about that.

I have a theory on the 170 number: On 170 of the cars, exterior damage is visible from in-car view (i.e. Hood crinkled, windshield/windows crack, fenders ripped off), not necessarily damaged interior, but also possible. You know Kaz :sly:.

With that theory, if you're on chase view, all damage on sides, bumpers, everything is visible, but if you switch to in-car on the 830 without it, the parts of your car you can see (hood basically), appear undamaged. And considering most collisions short of rollovers won't damage the hood much, thats not a bad compromise.

My bro just confirmed the translation states just that.

170 "Premium" models, with full interior and damage

830 "standard" models, from GT4

👎

I think these are screenshots from a gamescom demo. Not the full release. Just like we saw with Forza 3 at E3.

We need a proper translation of the specs though!
Were is the translator guy when you need 'm?
