Is this a GT5 demo showcasing tomorrow and just a special build they've been doing or is this roughly the amount of interiors/damage will be in the final game?

Sound more like a demo build for events. Kaz has said they're polishing the game.

Are you guys joking:confused:

They've already brought cars seen in GT4 that have cockpit view :

Skyline R34
RX-7
RX-8

Do you seriously think that in 4 years all they did was fully modeling 170 cars with interiors and damages and bring directly the other ones from GT4 without any update but HD upscale ?

This would not be acceptable !

Well you should wait until we get an official translation before you worry so much.

Thats true, but I trust the translations by people on GTP forums and I shouldn't just jump to conclusions about things, there may have been something lost in translation though, with a bit of hope...

so 840 cars i have seen in gt4 and another 70 i have seen in gt5p.

plus no real confirmation of any new real features (damage weather etc.) and it looks like to be the same old tracks.

very disappointed so far but i will wait until TGS before giving up on PD.

come on man, even if there are loads of gt4 cars, its still going to be a whole new experience, new physics , better graphics... i for one dont mind the info given, its good to know about youtube feature and head tracking and the custom mp3

lol when looking for information on Gran Turismo 5 it doesn't help that BMW have just announced the BMW 5 series Gran Turismo :grumpy:

ADD ME!!! :D Kidding! lol

Theres a lot of viewers in this thread, couldn't help :D

Anyway, great news! but only 60 tracks? (20 more to be revealed) I thought it would atleast be 100 :(

I friend of mine that knows japanese translated it in italian for me ( i asked to traslate only cars part) and it understood this :
1000 cars (all with cockpit and maybe damage), 170 (with damages also in cockpit) 830 (with cockpit and esterior damage, not damage in cockpit and seen since gt4). the 170 are premium dont' know what stand for maybe pay for it.

First of all there was just over 700 cars in GT4, about 95% of the cars in GT5p have interiors which would leave about a little over a 100 new cars with interior views in GT5, I do not think so.

Wait for an official translation people...

I think it's more likely that 170 interiors will get damaged in case of collision. the rest will have similar, static and unchanging cockpit as GT5P.

I have been saying this the whole thread. People need to take EVERYTHING with a grain of salt.
Exactly!

Also, I am stunned by how many people seem to be unable to simply read what we've got so far and work with that. There's so much false information thrown around here that's it's not even remotely funny. I know that emotions are confusing, but instead of screaming and shouting on the Internet, going out and take a few deep breaths might help ... just a thought ...

Getting there... but Japanese to Italian to English well... we shall see.
👍

You got something here. We all wondered about how damage would affect you while driving in-car.

I love how only a few of us are more reasonibly seeing that this could just be the Gamescons build(a vastly large improvement over GT5P) and not the fully finished game. Like I said before:

RACECAR
You guys cry

Too much

WOW fınally some infos about GT5!

I only wonder that things like voice chat or private rooms (wich is standard since 2004 or whatever) makes us happy...

The most things on that list are the minimum we got to await from a actual racing game (ok 1000 cars are crazy but if 840 are really from GT4 that isnt so amazing for me)

The only completely new thing i can see is the youtube thing...

İ hope we get some livery editor. Some online market place to sale cars and parts and some more new things...

But for the first im satisfied for a while... hope we get some news tomorrow...

This sounds like a thing Kaz could accept 👍

Thanks for your hard work, I would only change few things:

premium models have interior and can be damaged - 170 cars
standard cars have no interior and no damage - 830 cars

but of course interior will probably get broken too if accident occurs ;) - my comment only

tracks:

over 20 tracks with over 60 layouts

cars do roll-over now
damage represented perfectly dependently on collision

no info on oil change only car wash

museum - extended version of GT5 P museum

I am not being pernickety just waned to clarify some facts (about tracks mostly).

My other coments - only 20few tracks ? what the ...? the question is when will first DLC appear ?...

Hope for mission mode and more premium cars in DLC (and more trophies !) bdw no info about trophies... ;)

Great stuff.... the info is awesome and im a little worried about the cockpit stuff, i would truly hate if only 170 cars came with interior, paulpg87s theory seems more plausible..

You know, I've been kinda thinking about the driving missions taking place on dirt and snow tracks. Think that'll be in there?

I am still not convinced of this statements accuracy.

It's as accurate as possible - still looking over it though to be sure. :sly:

@ Black Chamber

How are you translating?

My Fiancées best friend is Japanese and he is over here right now. He and I are mulling over the details and posting up the translation.

This makes more sense, from the News page:

seems to be a more accurate translation

LOL! That was our original translation!

EDIT: This is looking to be more of just the GamesCom demo details and not of the final game. No release date is anywhere on the Japanese site or in the article, so I think it is saying that there are only 170 vehicles in the demo that feature damage and maybe some others that don't - it's very unclear and cryptic, which is odd.

There are posts on Japanese forums saying that the game is coming out in mid December - but all of that is unconfirmed.

I really hope that we get some kind of confirmation that the game is definitely on-track for a release this year!

That would be enough for me. 👍
The rest of the features are absolutely fantastic.

I can't belive all the negative feedback from all these ignorant GTPers.

We just got a whole BUTTLOAD of news people. Cheer up or don't get it.

For reference, I agree with this approximate translation.

It doesn't say anything about cockpit or damage for the gt4 models, only that they have been upgraded. I hope you're right though, and that the process of upgrading means cockpit is included.

edit: Both my bro and Japanese sister-in-law can't see anything that makes this a GC-specific version, only that this is new info for GT5.
Of course, neither are gaming or car fans (and a little pre-occupied packing for a flight) so maybe they missed something.
