OMG, what a night out. I partied my ass off. I'd like to thank that guy for making one hell of a party night for me, family and friends.

Ms. Kara Oke and I sang Blondie's Rapture last night and got a standing ovation.

So I guess he's a false prophet. Now there's a big surprise.

Matthew: Chapter 24: Verse 36-42
36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

Harold Camping just needs to be taken to a quiet padded cell. He's a complete lunatic.

If one wants to wade into some truly scary 🤬, based on hard facts, consider these:

The only thing that will end this world will be ourselves. Or rather, over powering and dominate countries that get sucked into the heat of a moment.

@icelt

I've seen Collapse but not the other.Michael Ruppert knew what was going to happen before the first crisis happened. He pretty much said i told you so.

Whenever i hear somebody say that we are changing things and everything is looking better,i start to laugh to myself.Quietly of course.

If anyone hasn't seen collapse i would highly suggest watching it.It is a huge eye opener on what really is happening.

Hahahahaha

I wonder how the guy that predicted it feels now?????

Probably like a LOSER.

I bet there are a few people out there who took the opportunity on Friday to tell the boss just what they really thought of them. Today will probably be a bad day at the office for them

Ms. Kara Oke and I sang Blondie's Rapture last night and got a standing ovation.

Rapturous applause?

I read a great article in the Washington Post, they talked to a guy who was very disappointed not to be swept up in the Rapture.

"I took the week off work!" he said.

The week? :D

I know someone took all their vacation days, then quit there job last week to go pray off in the woods.

Odd statement. Humans will never destroy the earth, how could we possibly obliterate such a vast mass as a planet? The only thing we may possibly do (highly unlikely though) is destroy the human race. The world will go on then in a billion years a creature will crawl out of the water and overtime evolve into a dominant species. One day it will learn how to create tools to survive and eventualy, millions of years down the line it'll figure out a way to make those rotating devices move without him having to push it. The V8 will be born again. Life finds a way 👍

Seriously though, whoever said money is the route of all evil was talking rubbish. It's religion. Religions are a highly dangerous form of brain washing and a clever way of controlling people. Gods. What a joke.

I love laughing at the people that actually believe this stupid "end of world" crap.

Now we can all buy this shirt. 👍

I've said this for years about "end of the world" comments, or comments about "destroying the planet".
In fact I said it here on this forum in another thread.

Even if our planet becomes what we'd consider a toxic wasteland... like the planet Venus or something... It'll still be here. Just like Venus exists. It's just that we won't! Just like we can't live on Venus. We can't even send a probe there that lasts more than a short period.
"Protecting the environment" is about protecting us.

Anyway, I think the rapture believers are talking about the "end of the world as we know it". Which is SOOOO subject to interpretation.
I believe the people who think they're going to be "raptured" believe that the rest of the people (non-believers) will be left to live in the world, just that people will be living in strife & torment or whatever... while they sit gleefully rubbing their hands together in heaven laughing at the rest of humanity "left behind" in agony & suffering.
Of course that always makes me wonder how those people reconcile that attitude with Christian charity. But I guess some religions (or sects) don't even have to have an internal logic.

Isn't that like confusing the web and the internet as being the same thing?

I think he meant 'the world' as in civilisation and its means of support rather than suggesting we might detonate the rock lump itself...

I think a lot of religious people would be highly offended by your referring to the planet Earth as a "rock lump". LOL ;)

j/k

But yeah, definitely a distinction between "world" and "planet".
Planet generally refers to the actual, as you say, "rock lump" that orbits the star we call "the sun". And "world" usually refers more to the combined civilization that resides on said "rock lump".
That said, people talk about "destroying the planet", environmentally speaking, all the time. And sorry, but that does sound rather like they're talking about the actual rock lump being detonated. It's narrow & sensationalistic, and does nothing to promote the cause other than making people who say it sound like nutters. "Destroying our environment" sure sounds more applicable, and sensible. And anyway, instead of saying "the end of the world" to mean civilization - as if the existence of a planet is only measured by our presence... why not say "the end of our civilization"... just to be clear?
;)
I'm just saying is all... ;)

The earth is shaking violently here in the Netherlands!!!!

Oh wait, it didn't.

I also live in the netherlands, an at exactely 18.00, i walked into a wall cause i was watching my clock. Scared the hell out of me!!

Haha in the netherlands they showed the movie 2012 at the 22nd, i guess just to show what could have happened... :)

Im not sure the earth could sustain many nuclear attacks let alone "restart over" if you will.

Having said that, maybe there was a forced ice age in the past becasue of it? Maybe there will be another one becuase of us? Its a great theory and one I think I will go by for some time

Hate to be like this, but that's taking it a step too far.
As a Catholic I feel insulted that someone would post something like that on a public forum.
I didn't believe that the rapture was going to happen as the guy who predicted it is completely insane.
But I do believe in God.
I'm not saying I agree with EVERYTHING I'm supposed to believe in as a Catholic, but I do believe in God.

I laugh at the people that celebrate Easter and Christmas, but can't remember the last time they went to church.

But if you say that what I believe in is a way of brainwashing people and is a joke, then I can have no respect for you if you have no respect for me.

Just an FYI, that's also against the AUP as it's attacking a certain group of people.

Hate to be a b**** like that, but you have just insulted me to a great extent.
You could have called racing a joke and had a lesser effect.

Well, whoever said money is the root of evil was talking rubbish. What they meant was greed - and to an extent, religion is in fact a product of greed. I think that it is an objective observation that offering people rewards after they die is both a form of control and highly dangerous, and I agree with that assessment. I wouldn't go so far as to say religion is the root of ALL evil, as I think if everyone on the planet was an atheist there would still be evil. I would say that religion is the root of MUCH evil.

You should. Catholicism lends itself to insult.

I laugh at the people that celebrate Easter and Christmas, but can't remember the last time they went to church.

As an atheist I celebrate Easter and Christmas. Both are examples of juxtaposed secular/pagan and Christian traditions. Santa and the Easter Bunny are the secular version. Jesus of course is the Christian version.

But if you say that what I believe in is a way of brainwashing people and is a joke, then I can have no respect for you if you have no respect for me.

This is an absurd criteria for respect. You should not require respect before you give respect. You should be willing to accept the possibility that someone can justifiably disrespect you and still be worthy of respect from you.

Just an FYI, that's also against the AUP as it's attacking a certain group of people.

There's nothing in the AUP that says you can't be insulted.

Where's Mr. Camping ?

A lot of people would like to consult him and let him know that just because his prediction was wrong, that it's not " the end of the world " for him.Life does go on.
