ReutersThere are only a few dozen in Russia
If these cars are owned by Russia's ultra-rich, i would have thought that they would have some kind of sophisticated tracking system fitted to it. I bet right now there's the owners own private 'security' team tracking the car's location armed to the teeth.
The problem being in Russia the owners private 'security' team are probably the same people who nicked it in the first place.
"Sorry boss, no idea what happened to the car" - walks away whistling and counting the money.........
Scaff
I'd fire the driver.
I was just thinking that there was a better-than-50% chance that the chauffeur was in on the theft."Sorry boss, no idea what happened to the car" - walks away whistling and counting the money...
How much is a few dozen ?... A few in my book means at least 5, so that's 60+ Maybachs - in Russia ?...
In Russia, bucket misses you![]()
Why fire the driver? It's not like he has the powers to tell a bunch of thieves to go away.I'd fire the driver. Next, I'd put out a reward for the car in hopes that someone will return it.
The story reports no mention of the car being unlocked and yet you seem to assume it was.Why would anybody leave the doors to a $777k car unlocked anywhere? Especially Russia. I think whoever was at fault almost deserves this for not thinking all the way straight. The car not only says "rich." It is one of those things that might as well have a big fat bulls-eye on it.
I agree with Duke. It wouldn't surprise me if the chauffeur was in on it. It can get pretty crazy out there.

How do you both know the driver wasn't just sitting there watching the car and was suddenly forced to unlock and give the car to the criminals?
And this is why you never leave your doors unlocked in Russia.
They've been getting really good at stealing cars there, lately
