I think my first time seeing the real-time weather transitions. At that moment just before it rains, where it goes really dark. The game just sets the mood perfectly and looks stunning.

After the update when I saw my boys Evo lights in my rear view mirror, it looked amazing. 👍

When doing my first Snow course in the rally section of the Special Events...

I came up over a hill and saw the snow covered scenery, with the reflection of the sun gleaming off of the snow... just beautiful.

Definitely this. I actually crashed a couple of times in that event because i was too busy looking at the sun and mountains lol. :p

Wow ... love this thread!! For me it was when the "START" showed on the screen and we were off to our first official race ind our gt5 club. Gave me the chills!

Driving 787B around Le Mans (Sarthe) - and simply being thrilled by watching it react to all the bumps and dips in the road during replays. Because of this level of beauty and detail this game will NEVER get old to me! I was playing GT4 until this came out and enjoyed that almost as much.

GT5 - LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

Just the start-up sound of the thing when you select it - priceless.

Oh, and the Furai at night... in the rain.

How each track feels different, but I think the one thing that really made me go "Wow" it was driving on Nurburgring and starting in the rain at dawn and finishing the lap in clear skies with the track slowly drying...and then having it down pour again and watching the track get wetter and wetter.

I loved finding the Ouillium Motors SPIRRA is a gem to fly around the corners of the intermediate rally stages. Nothing like getting the tail out over a crest, with the sunset gleaming off the tarmac :)
And the thing sounds like a steam printing press when idling :D lol

Other "wow" moments:

- Toyota 88-CV around Nurburgring - what a handful!
- Rolling my Mclaren F1 a full 180 (and therefore not getting the rollover trophy) :D lol
- The Alaska snow rally
- Ferrari 599 down SS7 :)

1. In Nurburger with Gullwing Merc! An astonishing erection obtained. It handled with perfection. :grumpy::)
2. When braking is attempted, on a wet paint - brake lock! The feeling of FF through wheel is your perfect in this circumstance.
3. Samba bus, when becomes hammered you should look back into cabin. A VIBRATE will be seen in sunshine shadow on seats!!! As the bus shake. My excitement is inappropriate here. :scared:

Something that makes me go "Cool!" is when you get into a car, it starts up the engine and revs it up a little, sweet little feature!

Taking my f150 online to the ring as a joke, running a 7:04 while beating a zonda, 458, SV, R8 and an ACR. Everyone had a good laugh at the beginning but had nothing to say when it was over.

if an AI car pits in front of you, after he leaves the crew will actually pick up the old tires and put them behind the wall

My first time driving the Nurburgring Nordschleife was amazing. I could feel every single bump and undulation and the track felt narrow and fast. I was amazed and I still am.

Was having an awesome cockpit viewed f430 Scuderia battle at night online at the 'ring.

Swapping places over and over until my mate finally lost control. I first saw smoke through my bi xenon headlights. Then my mates bi xenon headlights as he was sliding backwards. Then dirt and grass. Then some sparks (best part) as he hit the fence which led to him rolling his car over and over 2 feet from my windshield. It was magnificent.

Shame about the third world damage system tho...

Seeing a plane fly over head in the Rally stages, and the fireworks
The way the lighting works when you get the sun setting in front of you.
Turning the wipers & lights on and off :)
Watching the replays - still watch 90% of my race replays

Yep i agree with you regards the replays. They look and sound awesome. 👍

Its a shame we cant watch replays whilst Bob does his thing. Well i dont think we can inside the game can we?

The Gomer Pile moment during the Kubelwagen Top Gear special event when the 11th place car gets t-boned after turn 1.

The start up sound of the Veyron. The fuel pump sounds like a fighter jet!

The Capr Ring Exterior in an NSX last night was amazing, I was just all over that car and kept getting quicker and quicker.

The start-up sound of the E-Type Jag, I have no idea if it's supposed to sound like that, but I love it.

One of mine is the wheel animation. Specifically the nascars. I thought it was pretty cool to actually see the writing on the tires animate and not just being black wall tires spinning around.

The lupo cup race was a hoot for me! That thing is on rails! and how it twitches on bumps at speed feels like it's going to launch into space at any moment...

Lots of fun! And nearly full throttle affair... I think it actually messed with all that I've learned driving that track over the years!!!

I love that race, I do it as my warm up pretty often.

As for me I just did the Japanese 80's challenge with this old RX7 I got for like 9k credits. Changed the oil, left the comfort soft tires on it, and it was *just* fast/slow enough to give me a good challenge, all the races were battles to the finish line. It was great.

doing the Gran Turismo World Championship in a kitted out 640SV, Nurburgring and 16 cars on the grid, the Takata Dome NSX up front followed by the McLaren F1 and GT40 race car. The sheer noise of our 4 cars at the front of the pack, the way the F1 zoomed past me coming up the straights, it was just actually immense.

And the AMG Intermediate last challenge. Going around the ring in the SLS with all the other cars..simply awesome.

I just bought the Nismo GT-R LM Road Version '95, its bonkers in the looks wide arches and rear wheel drive. Put a big grin on my face!

During the raining/snow moment, you have your car stay still...the water/snow will stack up on your rear window. Once you move, you'll see it slide off lol.

the historic car racing cup in b-spec, the sound of the Mark IV's when they accelerate on a straight is amazing.

That, and blasting the nurburgring with the 787B or in the DTM event just makes me smile

For me, it was when someones else headlights illuminated my cockpit for the first time as i drove past them in the dim light of the amg rain challenges, i was simply awe struck, that sort of attention to detail is sublime. I have raced in night before this, but i never really noticed it till now.

Also i just added a turbo charge to my Evo. Its quite a few hp of some of the other cars, and the cars i have used for this challenge, two seconds a lap quicker. The acceleration is mental.

+1 i had been having a rough few hours and decided to enter this a week or so back, was amazing, surprisingly quick how you get round the ring in a lupo
