Qualifying, R390 Road Car in Purple, Toyota GT-One with the "looks like they just hit a bucket of white paint on the interstate" paintjob.

Oh, and having spec racing within each manufacturer's lobby - would add a TON of new content, plus you get to discover a few cars that you otherwise wouldn't.

I miss being able to RM most of the cars in the game.

This! 👍👍👍👍

+Qualifying, +more A-Spec events, +being able to win a car more than once, +being able to sell all cars in game, +Old Formula 1 cars, +SSR11, +Rome Night, + Ford GT90, Dodge Concept Car, Plymouth Road Runner, Plymouth PT Spyder, '97 Nissan R390 road and Race car, '98 Toyota GTOne Race Car, '99 Toyota GTOne Road Car, Vector M12 and W8, Venturi Atlantic, Mitsubishi Lancer EvoVII Rally car proto, Suzuki Cultus, Pikes Peak, Smokey Mountain, +being able to take all cars to Photomode locations, +Seatle Circuit, +Midfield Raceway...

What do I miss from previous games?

All the missing cars, all the missing tracks, BHP limited races, A-Spec points, Qualifying, a proper GT-Mode and re-winnable prize cars.

Midfield Raceway, Pikes Peak, Hyundai Accent Rally Car, Ford Model T, Nike 2022, Auto Union (Audi) Streamliner, Tahitti Maze, Swiss Alps.

*The Tuners system from GT4. You could go to Tuner Village in said world map and depending on your car brand get car parts from actual tunning firms. What was even better is that they had parts that dealership tuners hadn't like the Stage 5 turbos. Each one also had it's own showroom. Enough could be added to cover the spectrum of most GT5 cars.
I don't remember that. Tuner shops in GT4 didn't do anything different than manufacturers', at least in the JPN version of the game. They were essentially useless except for the pre-made tuner cars.

Not to be that guy, but I don't see why we should miss having to go to dealers to tune cars. All it ever did for me was make the menu system even more convoluted than it already was.

I don't know why but I like the old system. Not that I don't like the one we have now, I guess it was just a nostalgic moment I had there. I doubt they will bring it back anyway. What I'd like to see is the brand's official tuners to return. It would do nothing but just change the tuner name on the (tuner's village) menu but it's a nice touch.

The innocence of believing GT was a sim, and realistic.

The hope that the AI would improve in future titles.

Local friends who could visit and play GT.

And the usual... RM's, Qually, SSR11, Midfield, Sonoma, Seattle, those two narrow tracks whose names I always butcher, good offroad tracks, pitch black 787B & GT-One(+road version), dealer events, regional events, 1000 Miles!, driving missions, race requirements, track days, waiting for all the cars to actually finish a race if desired, AI that doesn't park for me, event generator...

GT has gained a lot and lost a lot, some important things on both sides.

And yes, there are other identical threads.

I don't remember that. Tuner shops in GT4 didn't do anything different than manufacturers', at least in the JPN version of the game. They were essentially useless except for the pre-made tuner cars.

You are a bit inaccurate on that - you forget about the original (custom from the tuners') suspensions and turbochargers. ;)

Oh, forgot one of the other big things I miss from previous generations -

Remembering the days when R33 Skylines, Mitsubishi GTO's and Supras all had power levels of over 900bhp. Sure, you could say "power depreciation due to the age of the cars", but that shouldn't be the case for a zero miles car. Where's my other 200bhp, PD?!
(I have a theory on this though, although possibly a mad one. When you change the turbo on these cars in GT5, they change it to a single turbo, instead of the twin-turbo setup it should have.)
