As far as I can remember, Gran Turismo 5 was up for pre-order for a long time before its actual release date. I'm not sure about the exact date, but my guess would be that gran turismo was up for pre-order as far back as of march of 2009. Feel gree to correct me if I'm wrong, but the point I'm trying to make is that according to the US Census Bureau (for 2009), there are 1.8 deaths per second worldwide, meaning that there are over 100 deaths per minute. Furthermore, there are over 150,000 deaths per day and over 55 million deaths per year.

Quoting this article from GTPlanet https://www.gtplanet.net/amazon-uk-cancels-gran-turismo-5-pre-orders/ , it is safe to assume that gt5 was available for pre-order before the 11th of August of 2009. Therefore, if we take August the 11th as the date gt5 was first made available for pre-order we conclude that gt5 was released 1 Year and 15 Days later.

During that time, approximately 57 million people died. Now here's the kicker... How many of these people actually pre-ordered gt5? Some other questions I have are should they get a refund? Will they get a refund? What happened to their PS3?

Feel free to add on the subject....

They're over 6 billion people in the world. How the hell can we know for sure?

Only person I can think of who could possibly have pre-ordered GT5 and died, was the guy who made the car that won the GT award. RIP.

:banghead:

Who are you addressing these questions to? How the hell are we supposed to know?
Will a dead person get a refund? I don't think its really such a problem anymore, do you?

I'm disgusted that you are choosing to refer to people's deaths and link them to some vague criticism of the delay of the game. Or at least thats the only logic I'm reading here. Otherwise you really need to buy some lemon curd for your toast and think a little positive, its not good for the health man.

One of my best friends was a car enthusiast along with a couple of my other friends and relatives and he was also anxiously waiting for GT5. I'm 2000 percent sure he would've bought GT5 on Wednesday and would've been on these forums if he was still alive. Unfortunetly he was shot in the head on March 6 2010.(R.I.P) So I guess there are similar cases if not as gruesome as this one. That also makes me think, how many users of GTPlanet do you guys think have probably passed away? and we don't even know.

This question reposted in different words:

How many people died without enjoying wasting their life sitting in front of the TV playing a video game?

This thread was borderline to start with but the massive amounts of negative posts have pushed it over the edge.

Locking.
