This is what you CAN'T do with "Standard" cars.

Ok up to this point its been hit or miss and a lot of guessing about what you can and cant do with "Standard" cars. But this is just unbelieveable.

80% of the cars are Standard
-Cant take standard cars into Photo Travel (this is rediculous)
-You cant change the wheels
-Very poor graphic quality. Lots of jaggies, and shadow problems. Worse graphics than GT4.
-No tire marks ,skid marks, black marks
-No smoke from tires
-Cant zoom in close when taking on track pics
-Cant change wheels
-No inside cockpit view

That is why they are called STANDARD cars. Thus making the difference between the premiums. The standard cars are a bonus anyway.

Just this second I spun a standard car for you the one mentioned above and I can confirm there are tyre marks and lots of smoke

You listen can't change wheels twice.

No tire marks or smoke doesn't make much sense to me... I really thought they would have had higher res versions of the GT4 textures (like they made the textures at a higher res for GT4 and downscaled them for the PS2) on the cars, this really is the worst looking aspect of them. They do seem to look good enough most of the time when racing though from what I've seen in vids.. will reserve my final judgment for when I've played the game for a bit.

The game has 1000 cars in it (which is what they advertised), and they posted on their site what the standards cant do.

Not that it matters, but those you "can" do. I took my little miata to the TGTT and drifted around and there are marks and smokes. But it doesn't really matter.. oh well. just thought I'd point those out.
