So, you don't feel that a 2-3 years is an acceptable time for me to build my dream garage?
See below.
Weird question... Have I at any point asked for a garage full of highly expensive cars? If I could win cars more than once or could sell cars to fund new ones we wouldn't even be having this conversation. In other words, if this was like previous GT titles it wouldn't be a problem.
If your dream garage wouldn't consist of those highly expensive cars, you wouldn't have to spent years to get them.
The point is: You can probably get ~85% of the cars fairly cheap. It's just the remaining 15% that are actually so expensive that you'd have to grind a long time in order to get them. Which kinda is the idea behind having expensive cars, isn't it?
Plus, I have the feeling that there are mire than just a few people who wouldn't give a damn about a lot of cars if they weren't as expensive as they are, but that's just a gut feeling I've got.
So, I have a choice between track days, time trials and having fun (which don't give any rewards) with new and different cars or grinding against poor AI for most of the time...
You were on about how you just want to drive - sorry, but I don't get how that is in any way, shape or form mutually exclusive from the ways of earning credits in the game.
Pass the AI and just drive.
Wow. Way to judge someone without actually reading what they write...
I've played every GT available in the UK since GT1. I've NEVER cheated on them. I've always enjoyed buying cars, trying them out and then selling them if I don't like them. My purpose was to build a garage of cars I love driving by weeding out the ones I disliked.
Being unable to sell cars above a tiny value means I cannot do this in GT5. So, what is my alternative?
How about, buying that crap load of cheaper cars (like, 50) instead of that one, highly expensive car? Test them as much you like, drive them during a race, though; whether the AI is present or not doesn't exactly interfere with what you (appearently) want to do, right? Should make you way enough money to keep on buying stuff.
Plus, if you have so little time to play GT5, how come you have the time to actually test so many cars that you can't afford to buy them?
Nope - this one issue is down to this particular iteration of the GT series. Reward cars once, tiny A-Spec, poor monetary rewards.
Before telling people they have a problem or they should go play something else take a good look at GT5 and think about the shortfalls that caused people to dupe (again, not talking about the mad duper/trader issue here).
Oh, please... Yeah, A-Spec is a joke. I guess everybody knows. But, what's the big deal? I haven't had to grind for insane amounts of credits yetand I've got a huge load of cars to drive, inclusing cars that come with a price tag of a million and the like. I was capable of builing a vastly deverse garage without grinding for credits too much and without spending ridiculous amounts of time with GT5. That's why I can't fathom the supposed need to dupe and why I consider it to be nothing but a lack of the slightest bit of patience. 'Must have everything, now!', that's where duping comes from.
You seriously think that? XP that isn't dependant on the car entered as it was in GT4?
Bottom line on that part is that it should have been about license tests and not this ridiculous XP system which has turned the game into an RPG
I don't like the XP system, at all. That's why I said I would've been with you on a complaint about grinding for XP.
Anyway, I'll continue to play GT5 and I hope you continue i your enjoyment of it too. 👍
For the time being, I will enjoy what I get out of it, yeah
