I just switched over to Cockpit from Roof cam a couple of weeks ago. I do think that it was easier to hit apexes using roof cam, but cockpit is just more fun. I am getting used to it now, and I don't think I am losing much time anymore.

Grimm...I fully expect to participate in this Tuesday's race. Parcells will be driving the #2 BMW M3 GT car.

Have quite a bit of figuring out to do until then but lets confirm how much more difficult this is going to be...so I can use any tyre compound I wish and any pit stop strategy I want including not pitting at all?

I like the helmet view too, I think it'll make me a bit slower but I'll try next race.

I think you'll probably adapt fairly quick. I even started using cockpit view for Monday Night Miatas since becoming comfortable with it in Pcars. It's certainly more immersive than any other view IMO. Even vs regular cockpit view... when using cockpit I sit fairly static, with helmet view I find myself physically leaning in my chair when cornering. It's interesting.

For the length of race we are doing, pitting will not be necessary. Soft tires should last the entire race as well, but you may want to test to make sure.

Season 1 - Week 3

Race 1

Track - Brno Circuit
Race Length - 18 Laps
Weather Report - 10:00am - Clear Skies

Race 2
Track - Monza GP
Race Length - 20 Laps
Weather Report - 2:00pm - Heavy Clouds

As we only have 15 active drivers this season, we will not need KOQ.
Below are the current Active Drivers with provisional entries into the Main Event. The below listed drivers (not listed in BOLD below) need to confirm their intent to race this week by replying in this topic (no later than 8:00pm eastern on Monday 8/3/15) with a simple post that they plan to race this week (Example - I plan to race this week). I will update the list accordingly.

If there are less than 16 drivers confirmed, we will not need KOQ this week and will open the Lobby to all drivers @ 8:30pm Eastern. If there are more than 16 confirmed drivers that week, we will implement the original KOQ process and only the top 10 Confirmed drivers will be locked in and all other drivers will need to go through KOQ as usual.

I plan to run a couple practice races in a couple hours around 1:00pm eastern if anyone is interested in joining

It's not looking good for me Tuesday night, I just moved and it may be Thursday before I have internets. I will attempt to find the right ass to chew tomorrow morning to get Comcast motivated, so will know for sure by tomorrow evening.

Unfortunately I must regretfully recind my confirmation. I have carpet coming tomorrow and j just don't see me having time between clean out and refilling these rooms. :(

I ordered the csw v2 with the universe Xb1 wheel hub a couple weeks ago. So looking forward to getting my hands on it. The significant factor for me is only needing one wheel for both systems. That said the thrustmasters are good wheels also.

Hate to be a pest but tonight will be my first attempt at an on-line PCars event and I have some basic questions so I can make it into the room and not mess anything up.

1) How do you find/enter the room? Search for it under the On-Line options and join that way?...that's the only option I could figure out having just checked it out. Can I find Grimm via PS4 friends and join that way?

2) Seems blueteeth are not a mic option for the PS4 (shocking) so Parcells will not have chat this evening if that's even allowed??? Is it? Unless that crazy talking PS4 controller substitutes as a mic maybe that's an option I haven't a clue. If it is a mic you'll want to confirm so I either turn if off during the race or tell me where the mute button is so everyone's not hearing my surround sound.

3) Any other peculiarities you think I should be aware of please share. I'm a racer not a techie and not a very good one at that which reminds me I still haven't practised yet DOH!

I won't make it tonight. I just got my work truck back from the shop and still have about two hours worth of work then a half hour drive home. Sorry guys.
