I think I might be the forst person to do this, but...


Thanks for running the leaderboard on your website DE!!! I know you have to make all of the corections and updating it would kind of be a pain sometimes....But thanks!!

i was up till 4 a.m. trying to get my GT-one car up to the record speeds
i dont see where your etting that last 20 mph!
this is drivig me crazy

it get obsessed with stuff like this when im this bored
 
The GT-One is particular hard to find the sweet spot with. I know because I have yet to find it, and I consider myself not too bad at tuning, heh. ;)

You might be better working with a different car.

Try the 88CV, it was my first car that I brought to 300. Just make sure you appply all of your knowlage to the car and see what hapens...

In other news, I finally made a signature, but how do I get it on my old posts? Will it just update at some time overnight? :)

That was my first 300 mph car too
but i only got it to aboout 312 before i blew all my cash on the gt-one about 2 days ago
i've been working on it quite a bit since then but the best i can get is 323.51mph

so i guess i'll go fiddle with the 88CV
more ponies to work with anyway, lol

UPDATE:
I just got my 88CV up to 331.98mph
which is a huge improvement
faster than the gt-one by 9 mph
for a while i couldnt get it over 329, but then i disabled the driving assist traction control stuff, my launch wasnt too pretty but i was easily going 10mph faster around the bend

That's rare enough, but to do it when a record was set (and that was the outright no-nitrous record at the time) is seriously bad on my part! Toronado, was there a PM update of that speed, or what? Was it just my screw-up? :nervous:

340mph , is that an ok speed compared to others? how do I get in the "club"?

FVracer13, Try to use the edit button and not doubble posting, jusy put EDIT or udtae or whatever. Doubble or even tripple posting is a big no-no

By the time you've said that, it's already there :p your current signature is automatically applied to all your posts.

Thank you everyone, can we please stop talking about wheelie-glitched speeds, because nobody here (I refer to members of the Club) cares. And please do not double-post, mentioning no names FVracer13, or I might be inclined to ignore people who spam my thread...

Seems all my old posts had the signature disabled, so I had to go back through all my old posts and enable it again! :dunce:

*is shocked* Ahem, no, it isn't, in fact it isn't even close! To be honest, I don't think the R8 is capable of that.

Anyway, congratulations on your improvement, FormulaGT! Is there any more to pull out of that, maybe even enough to take back second place? Downloading video...

Nice improvement with the R8, I-Runner, do you think you can challenge the 350mph+ Audi pilots?

EDIT after watching FormulaGT's video... I can't really see enough to be absolutely certain about that one... Could you please take some PhotoMode shots of the wheels as you hit top speed, just to make certain? Thanks, and sorry about the inconvenience.

Looking at the video myself, FGT is slower coming out of the corner than in my setup (by about 2mph), slower coming out of the tunnel than in my setup (by about 2mph), yet has a greater final speed. Either theres some great gearing in there at the top end, some magic on the suspension to give optimum high speed aerodynamics, or theres some unnoticeable lift going on.

I'm inclined to go with the voodoo magic in the gearing theory for now, as I know My 358+ runs use the same gearing as my 354.75 run listed on the leaderboard. Good work! 👍
